In aggregate and most polls more Americans disapprove than approve.In the best single poll,Gallup,his net approval is negative 6.Trump has never had a 50% or higher approval on Gallup,1st or 2nd term. Trump won because Biden was awful,so awful that millions of left wing voters who voted for him in 2020 refused to do so again in 2024.Trump did not win these voters,which is why he got millions fewer votes than Biden did in 2020.Biden had a net negative approval rating in 2024,historically no incumbent president or incumbent party has kept the White house when the incumbent had net negative approval rating,that is why Trump won.Trumps victory was not by a significant margin nor does he have a mandate when the majority of voters voted against him imo.
