Oh he is upset all right, he has a history of frustrated crying when both getting his way but it's not as private anymore.

Though they missed the additional 100 million Musk loobbed to Trump.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has criticized a Canadian province's decision to remove Tesla from a rebate program on electric products.

British Columbia Premier David Eby said that he would be barring Tesla products from the province's electric rebate policy "to "preference Canadian goods."

Newsweek contacted Tesla for comment via email outside of regular office hours.

    Why It Matters

The move is the latest retaliation coming from Canada towards the U.S., as tariffs between the two countries continue to ramp up. The specific targeting of Tesla occurs as its CEO is closely associated with President Donald Trump and his administration's aggressive tariff policy.

    What To Know

Eby announced on Wednesday that Tesla products would no longer be part of British Columbia's CleanBC or BC Hydro rebates, which can grant up to 50 percent of the cost to people who install a charging station at home, according to the BC Hydro website.

In a statement, Eby said: "The Government of B.C. and BC Hydro are taking action to preference Canadian goods in our rebate programs going forward and to exclude, where practicable, U.S. produced goods.

In a statement shown to Newsweek, Premier David Eby said the restriction was "just for Tesla, and it's because of Elon Musk. I think that if British Columbians heard that C$10,000 of taxpayer money was going to Elon Musk, they'd want to throw up, so we removed them from the program."

Musk gave all the ammo the oil, gas and traditional car industries needed to focalize his far right nonsense onto funding Tesla hatred.

Tesla dealt another major blow after the company booted out of international car show

Elon Musk’s car company Tesla has been dealt its latest blow after being booted out of the International Auto Show.

The electric carmaker was due to participate in the International Auto Show in Vancouver, Canada from 19-23 March, but it has now been removed with event executives citing safety concerns.

In a statement, executives explained that they had offered Tesla ample opportunity to voluntarily withdraw amid recent protests at their dealerships and Tesla owners rebranding their own cars to avoid vandalism.

But, Eric Nicholl, executive director of the event, said they were forced to take action and remove Tesla from the lineup due to their “primary concern” for the safety of staff and event goers.

Nicholl said Tesla was provided “multiple opportunities to voluntarily withdraw”.

“This decision will ensure all attendees can be solely focused on enjoying the many positive elements of the event,” the statement explained.

Scores of protests have taken place at Tesla dealerships across the US and even further afield, as people express their anger over Musk’s controversial role advising US president Donald Trump.

It also comes as Trump infuriated Canadians by suggesting he wanted the country to become America’s 51st state.

Pat McCutcheon, an attendee at a Tesla protest in Surrey, British Columbia, said he thinks the event organisers made the correct decision.

“The last thing you want (for) one of your organisations is for there to be some vandalism or some physical confrontation. So, I think they made the right decision,” he told AP.

McCutcheon added: “Elon Musk is using his extraordinary wealth to basically corrupt democracy and do what he wants to do, and citizens, both in the United States, Canada, globally, need to push back on this.”

Amid the ongoing controversy, Trump’s Tesla “infomercial”, filmed outside the White House, was slammed as “dystopian corruption”. Trump also claimed he was going to buy a brand new Tesla because people are “illegally and collusively” boycotting Tesla.

I think it's wrong to let bullies decide what people can see or do, regardless of their political affiliations.
I disapprove of Musk's ideology and behavior and I'm angry at how he's ruined Tesla in the process and I've called for him being fired as the company CEO. However, the vandalism and the tactics used by some to vent out their manufactured anger is appalling. There are certainly many groups happy to finance this wave of discontent.

  8. I don't support the vandalism but certainly support the boycotts and peaceful protests on public property at Tesla dealerships.I wish other countries would slap 100% tariffs on all Teslas.

And many "for profit" prisons are chomping at the bit to get their $120K/year/person to house them.
They won't have to wait too long. Domestic terrorism is at least 10 years. And these early trail-blazers... examples that they'll be... will get 20 years.
