I think you make some very valid points. It's very worrisome when the AI industry and AI focused academia can't source gpus anymore because Nvidia contractually obligated itself to deliver hundreds of thousands of gpus to mining businesses before anyone else could even see a physical unit. It's virtually impossible to build a new pc right now, regardless of the size of budget.
What's wrong with intelligent forward thinking? Even if it's exploring the unlikely, in my book it still beats the blunt stupidity exposed in most other posts. He exposed a big issue and problem right now that is directly linked to the topic and that nobody else has spoken of yet.
