Depending on where you draw the lines for the top/bottom... using $453 and $224 however as aggregate levels... we are pretty much right at a 61.8% Fib retracement off the low.

That can either be a top for now, or a new floor for the next big up move. Probably a top for now. Broader tide.

Keep in mind this could be your child. The Tesla does not even slow down while mowing them down. It's like a Tesla in FSD is a deliberate killing machine.

Tesla Running So-Called 'Full Self-Driving' Software Splatters 'Child' In School Bus Test

Tesla is about to put a few alleged robotaxis on the streets in Austin soon. They won't be the CyberCab robotaxis that Tesla "revealed" late last year, but regular ole Model Ys running some version of Tesla's so-called "Full Self-Driving" software. And how are things going with that software? Well, if you look at the results of the latest test from the Dawn Project, a safety organization started by Caltech grad and software engineer Dan O'Dowd, the answer is a resounding "not great." At least if you care about cars stopping for kids getting off school buses.

As you can see in the video below, O'Dowd drove a Model Y running FSD 13.2.9 past a stopped school bus with its stop sign deployed and the red lights flashing. They then pulled a child-size dummy out into the Tesla's path to see whether or not it would stop for the child. The car drove through the child like it wasn't even there.

To make matters worse, the Tesla didn't fail to detect the mannequin, which would have still been bad enough. The system actually detected the child-size stand-in and classified it as a pedestrian but didn't bother to stop or even slow down. It just kept on going, completely ignoring the "kid" crossing the street. You'd think someone as baby-happy as Elon Musk would at least want his products to avoid running over children, right?

As the video points out, the Dawn Project documented FSD's issues with stopping for school buses and warned Tesla about the risk two and a half years ago. It also ran a Super Bowl commercial in 2023, pointing out the same thing. Not long after the Dawn Project's ad ran, the exact thing it warned about supposedly happened in real life. As ABC 11 reports, the driver of a Tesla Model Y hit Tillman Mitchell, a high school student at the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School in Hollister, North Carolina, as he got off a school bus. Investigators suspect that either Autopilot or Full Self Driving may have been engaged during the crash. Mitchell suffered "life-threatening injuries" and was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment, where, thankfully, he survived. Still, a fractured neck and broken leg aren't exactly the kinds of injuries you recover from quickly. That incident is also far from the only time a Tesla failed to stop.

If Tesla's so-called "Full Self-Driving" software only worked on highways like some other driver-assistance systems, its inability to reliably stop for emergency vehicles and other stopped vehicles, such as school buses, would still be a problem. But with plans to deploy a bunch of Model Ys as robotaxis on city streets in a matter of weeks, it's even more concerning.

    The irony..

Pension fund investors demand Elon Musk work 40-hour week at Tesla
Shareholders say EV maker is in ‘crisis’ and call for succession planning

Pension fund leaders with Tesla investments are urging the company’s board to mandate Elon Musk dedicate at least 40 hours per week to the electric vehicle maker, citing a looming crisis.

The group holds a combined 7.9 million TSLA shares and expressed alarm over Tesla’s challenges in a Wednesday letter to board chair Robyn Denholm.

“Tesla’s stock price volatility, declining sales, as well as disconcerting reports regarding the company’s human rights practices, and a plummeting global reputation are cause for serious concern,” the investors wrote.

They attributed many issues to Musk’s external activities, including his role in the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The pension fund leaders criticized the board for failing to ensure Musk’s “full-time attention” on Tesla. The group includes the SOC Investment Group, the American Federation of Teachers, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, and Oregon State Treasurer Elizabeth Steiner.

The investors’ letter comes as the Tesla board plans for Elon Musk’s next compensation plan, following the Delaware Court of Chancery’s 2023 ruling to rescind his $56 billion 2018 package. Besides a 40-hour workweek requirement, they also called for a clear succession plan and limits on directors’ external board commitments to strengthen governance. The letter highlighted concerns about board independence. Tesla recently added former Chipotle CFO Jack Hartung, who previously worked with Musk’s brother, Kimbal Musk, as a Tesla board member.

The group’s letter reveals where the position of some investors as Elon Musk forges ahead with Tesla’s future plans. Musk’s broader ambitions for Tesla were evident during the Q4 and FY 2023 earnings call, where he envisioned the company as an AI and robotics powerhouse with “truly immense capability and power.” He emphasized his desire for 25% voting control to maintain influence without complete control.

“You know, we’ve had a lot of challenges with Institutional Shareholder Services, ISS — I call them ISIS — and Glass Lewis, you know, which there’s a lot of activists that basically infiltrate those organizations and have strange ideas about what should be done,” Musk said.

As Musk plans to focus more on Tesla, alongside xAI and SpaceX, the investors’ demands underscore tensions between his expansive vision and shareholder expectations. With Tesla navigating stock volatility and reputational challenges, the board faces pressure to align Musk’s leadership with the company’s long-term stability.

Elon is DEEPLY offended that the people who voted to pay him $50 billion to run Tesla are expecting him to put in a 40-hour work week in return.
