What he is really good at is using someone else's ideas and then getting government money to make it, and getting the government to give people money to people to buy it. But I do agree that putting this all together is quite remarkable. I saw in a recent video that the $3B that SpaceX received was to put rockets on the moon by 2024. The $3B is gone, and the rocket to do this hasn't even left earth yet. FSD, which Elon said himself is the only thing that makes Tesla have any value, has been coming "next year" for over 7 years now. All his baby momma's I think have seen the true side of Elon, but for some reason, the general public is still amazed by his showmanship.
When I hear people whose primary complaint about Musk is that he promises more than he delivers, it reminds me of kids who start crying when they don't get the right toy that parents promised. It's hard to tell if the disappointment is of anything that Musk does, the perpetually dissatisfied, or if it's the frustrated delayed gratification. Something tells me you've never started a business, and I don't mean sitting in front of a pc guessing green or red. I mean production, recruitment, etc. like all of the businesses he started or co-started. It's not easy at all. In fact, 90% of start ups fail within 5 years. His could still fail, but so far so good. And thanks to Musk, over 110,000 people have a job today, many of which are in high paying science and tech. I'm afraid your appreciation of Musk is so distorted that you will never see the accomplishments, and if you don't see the obvious there, you probably don't see them elsewhere.
Yes. His investment in Dotard paid off and will continue for many more 100's of billions likely. Even after the meme stonk traders move on to something else. He promises and promises and .... and delivers a lot of razzle dazzle, a decent EV sedan and coupe plus an abortion of a truck.
