Nothing you stated, happened. No boycott, no drop to 180. You’re taking credit for fantasy/fiction. Musk officially endorsed Trump before your July post. So that was helpful.

I’ve not traded TSLA in months. Someone in my group was short vol in the name through earnings and did well in it. My last TSLA trade was in Feb.

    Do you even trade?

83% of the year passed, not 60%.

But you're right, Tesla could posssssssssibly still retain the title for the year. So it won't be relegated to former number one.

What I am curious about is how it does next year, in this country, after Elon Fan boy of Trump, watches Trump obliterate EV incentives as thank you for backing/help buy ($130+ million) a second term.

The crazy thing is that Elon said he is happy for incentives/rebates to be eliminated, for all industries. This makes no sense to me. Its only because of incentives that Tesla is where it is. If they also scrap the EV credits that other companies have to purchase from Tesla, where exactly is the profitability for Tesla?

Perhaps Tesla has already received the bulk of rebates that are possible, so its in their best interest for rebates to be cancelled for all the other guys who haven't fully tapped into this income steam yet.

I'm happy Trump won because of how this will help Bitcoin and also for hopefully free speech, but Elon cutting $2T out of the government in the name of efficiency is a joke. Don't get me wrong, I know the government wastes a shit ton of money, but $2T of deficit spending this year is exactly what was necessary to maintain a positive GDP. If the government all of a sudden gets way more efficient and stops spending money it doesn't have, instant crash of the economy. Government spending is a shit ton of income for millions of people and a shit ton of revenue for many, many private companies. There is no way to cut this and not cause a depression.

    Agree, Elon saying he will find $2T to cut is like ........... Elon saying autonomous will be here in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028 ............................................

Meanwhile Trump is only in favor of HIS speech being free. Well actually his free speech costs the country Billions - minimum. So no, not even him.

Ok, so now we have the facts... No, there was no slow down in EVs purchase in the last 3 or 6 or 9 months. Spin bullshit from all those looking to diminish the impact that EVs have in the market.

While Tesla's Y holds to its lead, it and Model 3 make up the top 3 spots, while BYD is churning out new models faster than anyone else and manages to beat Tesla on a brand basis with no less than 11 models in the top 20.
