That's a different subject, but I've frequently argued with Musk groupies on their chatroom about the poor workmanship of early (going to 2020) vehicles coming out of production. I've often stated that the model to emulate should be Apple products and Musk's excuses are bs. Every customer buying a Tesla should be treated like their ambassador and Elon Musk has frequently failed to uphold that golden standard, simply because the cars sell themselves.

That's some strong koolaid. If MB's lvl 3 is a joke, what does that make tesla's current level 2? Why would companies license level 2 from Tesla when they can license level 4/5 from zoox/amazon and not have to deal w/a mercurial a-hole? And we've gone over this:

 keep your blinders on. Level 3 MB is an industry recognized joke, valid on freeways at 40 mph in perfect weather conditions.. :banghead:

SAE level 3 is such an industry joke, tesla's yet to achieve it.

No, Tesla doesn't want the legal responsibility for idiot drivers to sink the company.

Once again you're fishing for dirt based on headlines. Except they're just as full of bs as most others you bring up. The accident rate they use is anything that's reported to insurance companies, from skateboards hitting a car, to break-ins to DUI to real accidents.

That's not to say we should rely on Tesla to interpret their own data, and I'd like to see a government required data submission system for all vehicles to assess their safety, quality, etc.

Keep hanging on to "Tesla's" every word. It's done wonder for ex-POTUS. I'm sure we'll be running Tesla's licensed SW in every car in no time.
