Since we're among friends, I'll let you in on a secret project of mine, should TSLA hit 500.

I will buy a DS Chapron and turn it into an EV.

Count me out on anything "auto" or French. :)

Not anti-French except when it comes to something with 4 wheels, or 3 for that matter.

No, a recall is a very defined process. Just because it's a patch for shitty SW, it doesn't make it not a recall. We've gone over this already. What, you think VW's dieselgate wasn't a recall because of their scammy software?

Right, if something, anything isn't work correctly it is "recalled and fixed".

That's not the point. The anti Musk/Tesla media spinned is as the sky falling because Tesla has to recall 2 million vehicles, when the fact is, it's a software update that doesn't require vehicles to go to shops for a fix.

And no, it's not like VW diesel gate which was a deliberate fraud for which they paid dearly. If you can't make the difference then it's on you.

    That is exactly the point.

Just because Musk fanboys can't help themselves from making excuses for every dogshit decision Elon makes, it doesn't mean people didn't get killed/hurt due to sloppy engineering. Sloppy engineering that was rolled out on millions of vehicles and got called out by agencies made to protect the public.

Pray tell, how is advertising and overselling "full self-driving" and "autopilot" after multiple promises not fraud?

I read somewhere that like 65% of Americans don't have garages.

I started thinking about that and how it will apply to EV mandates. I wonder what percentage of that number is people that live in multi-family communities? Like apartment complexes, that type of thing.

Those parking lots are a zoo. People coming and going all day long. Most have no assigned spaces... Who's gonna pay to put in all these chargers at places like that?

Certainly not the reits that own many of the ultra-large complexes. And certainly not the small operators. That's going to cost a lot of money. You'll have tear up the parking lots in many cases and then repave them. This stuff is not going to be cheap.

Just thinking out loud. It is a fair question though.
