I bought the RIVN calls after seeing the $15- XX calls screaming several days ago. Than the TSLA $300 calls started printing like crazy, that comforted my RIVN. Today goes to prove you don’t fight TSLA or the skilled TSLA call buyers.
“I was the chief engineer of the Ford Fiesta for many years, and when I left it had been on sale for 22 years. In the good years it sold more than 500,000 units, but even in the good years it never made a profit. Margins at that end of the market are so, so small.” https://www.autoweek.com/news/green...ho-led-the-development-of-chinas-craziest-ev/ Stunning revelation. Ford's Fiesta is its 2nd most successful car sold globally after the Escort with 22 million units sold, yet never generated a profit.
I think Amazon choosing Rivian for delivery vans in Europe is interesting. As we all know, EV's alone aren't the key to Tesla.
Oh, and Tesla also does this..... Tesla Electric customers report making as much as $150 a day Fred Lambert | Jul 5 2023 - 10:06 am P Tesla Electric customers in Texas are reporting making as much as $150 a day during the heat waves as Tesla’s virtual power plant is coming together with over 6MW of power. Late last year, after gaining experience through its virtual power plants (VPPs), Tesla took things a step further with the launch of “Tesla Electric.” Instead of reacting to specific “events” and providing services to your local electric utilities, as Tesla Powerwall owners have done in VPPs in California, Tesla Electric is actively and automatically buying and selling electricity for Tesla Powerwall owners – providing a buffer against peak prices. The company is essentially becoming an energy retailer. Tesla Electric is currently only available to Powerwall owners in Texas, but the company has plans to expand its products through this new division. In Texas, it is being tested through the ADER (Aggregate Distributed Energy Resource) Pilot Project, and it is proving really successful right now during some summer heat waves. Some Tesla Powerwalls on the Tesla Electric program reported making as much as $150 a day selling electricity back into the grid. Jonathon Blackburn shared a screenshot from a Tesla Electric customer on LinkedIn showing that they were selling electricity for over $5 per kWh: Tesla now has over 6MW of power capacity signed up in its pilot program, and while it might not sound like much, it can sometimes make the difference between a brownout or not in the Texas electricity market. The Tesla Electric interface is really interesting as it shows homeowners in real time what they are earning from their system: It literally looks like they are running their own micro-electric utility. All they need is some solar power and Tesla Powerwalls. https://electrek.co/2023/07/05/tesla-electric-customers-report-making-150-day/
Absolutely outRAGEOUS what ERCOT is doing to their customers with those prices. It's downright cruel.
Now who is going to make money (resident that is) selling electricity back to a utility .... without have to use it themselves? Those who are not home prolly. Rich get richer, relatively speaking, beating the heat. Nice Elon looking out for them.
