Every cent spent takes away from the bottom line. Maybe a decent ad campaign will help.
You've heard of selling ice to eskimos, it's amazing what a good salesman can do.

    Nice graph
For a trader Tesla in 2023 is like shooting fish in a barrel:
    01/03@101
    02/15@225
    03/15@170
    04/01@220
    04/28@152
    05/23@190

Tesla up 14% since 5/16 shareholder meeting.

I'm like you, I cherry pick what suits my argument, except I picked the 3 US automakers ATH in the last 5 years. And you know what? They all peaked at around the same time.

Number# 1 since the top lol Which is typical of stocks that are over-valued beyond their peers. They drop more. Time and again. Nothing to fault Tesla or pumper Musk wink wink. Tech wreck got many others as well.

Tell me more about Ford. When will it come back to $16? I got 300 shares assigned for more than a year now, still in red.

If you look at my graphs, since their ATH (your consistent pick to dismiss TSLA) F has dropped slightly more in % than TSLA. GM is a consistent loser.

    Umm no.

    -54.641% (TSLA) is more than {not good}
    -52.241% (F) and
    -49.437% (GM)

or Tesla is still down more than Ford and GM is down the least.

Even with TSLA coming back the most of the three, percentwise, off their respective lows.

    That is the reality.
