    Is that including today's $100 premarket gains???

    This is getting insane. How anyone can think this is sustainable is completely idiotic.

    A car company adding more value in a week than foord, gm and fiat Chrysler combined in the last year...something is very very very very wrong here.

  8. You can not use the the valuation models that are used for old school car companies, you have to use PVGR, present value of growth rate to value tesla, what is the present value of 200 percent growth in 10 years per year?

    From CNBC:
    Taking the total S&P market value to be $27.8 trillion, this would give Tesla a 0.8% weighting if it were to join the index. This means that funds tracking the index would need to buy roughly $30 billion worth of Tesla stock.

    Not to mention active managers that track the index, as well as individual investors who favor portfolios tied to the S&P 500.
