You completely missed the point on the first argument. Whether you or I give a shit is irrelevant. If you take two groups of people (Americans and X western country) and compare them side by side, then say that gun availability isn't a factor at all, then look at the statistics. What is the conclusion?

You're saying that there are areas of US where police have no power whatsoever? I doubt it. Give the police the power to search and seize, you'll see results.

Go and take a look at all the spree killers, vast majority of them had legally purchased firearms. The illegal firearms argument is true in some states and false in others, according to PolitiFact. But the idea is to reduce the total numbers of weapons in civilian hands, fewer weapons means it's more difficult to illegally obtain one.

Post Soviet era (early 90s) was a crazy one, you could buy an Kalashnikov (AK-47) at the central market by talking to the right guy. The police cracked down on that business and that's a good thing. In US that seems to still be the norm and I can't figure out how people are defending this.

That depends. Are you looking at the statistics in suburban America or somewhere like Chicago? Because they are very, very different.

I'm saying that many police won't follow these orders. All you have to do is look at Virginia. There are many places where they are openly declaring they will not enforce any gun seizure laws that are not constitutional.

The vast majority? That's simply not true. And even if it were, the "spree killers" as you call them (which I assume you are calling mass murderers where victims are 4 or more by definition) still are almost nothing when compared to the number of people killed in Chicago in just one year, let alone other urban centers of similar violence level where almost all the gun deaths are from illegal firearms.

    Chicago stats for 2019:

    2019 Totals (vs 2018)
    Shot & Killed: 461(-7%)
    Shot & Wounded: 2293
    Total Shot: 2754(-7%)
    Total Homicides: 516(-13%)

Because obviously they know things you don't.

In their 1400 year history, they've literally "knifed to death" at least 100 million more than they have shooting or blowing up people with bombs. 80 million alone in the conquest of India. Then we have the millions of assyrians, greeks, africans, ect. The weapon of choice for muslims is the knife/sword. When they kill captives, they generally behead them and not shoot them.

The most dangerous places in America are a few urban areas run by democrats that have strict gun control laws.

NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Portland, Oakland, San Fransisco and Los Angeles are all good places to get shot. All run by democrats, all with local gun control. When I have to venture into these third-world cities I carry a .357 and ignore any laws that infringe my constitutional right to bear arms.

I've never brandished but I've placed my hand on the piece in my pocket a few times. I simply won't have a hand laid on me by a civilian.
