dude, Planes hit the towers fueled 160,000 lbs kerosine each. Fires were almost out by the time they collapse, about 1.5 hours later. WTC7 6k galons=24,000 lbs diesel burning at lower temperature and for 7 plus hours? Planes did not hit the building, ancillary damage minimal if any check pics..apparently all the tanks in the sublevels? catch fire. Of cource the reports about explosions at the building base mean nothing. On top of all this, buildings housing such amounts of fuel do have additional heavy duty fire suppressant systems as required by code. I'm sure the transfer of WTC to private hands first time ever since it was built 1970, had also nothing to do with the attacks. Let's see a report of all the work done on the buildings since the time silverstein acquired them. It's up to you to believe the "official" story of "probable sequences" Yep, FBI found hijacker's passports on the ground within hours after the attacks. Sure. BTW, Unlike others all my posts are confined in chitchat.
Yeah, but was the attack related to 9/11 or the election? both fell near the same day. the election time was not set by the al Qaeda. //shrug// "mystery and confusion" I suppose works just as good for the terrorists as a firm conclusion of who done it. it breeds chaos and turmoil in the markets for one thing, as, having no culprit leaves a huge question mark for who is likely to be next and how the terrorists will come at them making it more difficult to defend against potential attacks. I did read that the commuter train subways are especially vulnerable to terrorist attacks. therefore NY would certainly make a probable candidate. mobile phones ringing inside of backpacks filled with explosives?? give me a break! what is the USA gunna do now, make every cell phone user register their cell phone and declare its use? Cell Phone Registration Form 1. Do you plan to make more international phone calls than local? Yes or No? 2. Do you plan to use the video on your new cell phone to shoot up your skirt shots? Yes or No? 3. Do you plan to use your cell phone to set off explosives in heavily populated areas during rush hour? Yes or No? (note: If Yes please turn yourself in right now to your local police station as a terrorist - thank you!] *rolling eyes* still the mystery of what is meant by "Winds of Black Death" has not been solved. bad news for "civilization." I still have a hard time choking down the reason for Bush to destroy the nation of Iraq just because he didn't get Bin Laden. now that his knee jerk reasoning for going to war with Iraq (WOMD!!!!!!!!!!!!) is falling apart it's fairly clear that the USA continues to make mistakes. How many global mistakes can a single country make before they are seen as the aggressors and anti-life? personally I have little interest in any of this other than placing properly timed short term long and short trades in forex. the world continues to try to work out its problems - my job is to trade profitably. Bush and Spain are taking the wrong frakin approach. Engaging terrorists only makes them stronger and increases their power per attack due to the attention and response those attacks stimulate. Look at Spain, millions of people demonstrating? come on. somewhere terrorists are applauding their own strikes. remember, terrorists win 1/2 the battle by keeping the world in fear. the only way to deal with them is continue to hunt them behind the scenes quietly, and on the surface ignore them and cope like you would do with a bad hurricane or a flood or earthquake that kills people. the truth is, terrorism is all around us, countless unsolved murders, rapes, drug dealing, theft, other violent crime, corporate fraud, you name it, it can all be seen as rooted in "terrorism." point being: there is no way to win against it nor to root it out like Bush is trying to do. every time a rich person takes advantage of a poor person that is a terrorist strike - financially. look how many more people in Iraq and Afgahnistan died and got wounded (and continue to) due to the USA's "rid the world of 'Evil'" campaign. It may not seem just but you simply cannot call a terrorist strike like 9/11 and now Madrid a "war." Well, the world will just have to learn apparently the hard way that you can never win against terrorists. *sigh* good trade, sam
If this is so freaking bearish as you have stated on numerous occasions for the U.S. Dollar, especially with the current arrests of Moroccan Extremists with ties to Al-Qaeda, then why is the dollar higher against the Yen and the Pound and the Euro tonight; with the Euro trading off more than one percent from Friday's high of $1.2371 in New York?
Ok, you've convinced me. We can now blame the Jews (Silverstein Properties) again for the collapse of World Trade Center #7. Is there anything else we can blame them for?
Kind of like engaging certain posters in these forums in ongoing discussions, eh? (Not referring to you here, so long as we steer clear of religious discussions.) As to your question of whether the attack was related to 9/11 or the election, I don't know. I don't think the anniversary date was coincidence. It may have been a red herring (ETA: "Hey, let's throw suspicion on al Qaeda"); it may have been serendipity (al Qaeda: "Perfect - this anniversary date falls just before the election we're trying to influence!") The evidence seems to point to al Qaeda, but let's wait and see what else emerges. And who set the fire in Moscow?
You don't believe the "official" story of "probable sequences." What is your alternative explanation? You've spent a lot of time on this stuff. You must have your own theory of who was really behind 9/11. We'd all like to hear it.
by converting a nation. Spain. "Spain's incoming prime minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has pledged to bring home the 1,300 Spanish troops in Iraq when their tour of duty ends in July." sam (waggie945: as far as the USD retaining its current pricing... Savoring victory again, outside Socialist party headquarters 1,000 jubilant supporters cheered and waved the party's red flag. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm.../ap_on_re_eu/spain_elections&cid=518&ncid=716
