Terrorism. Is there anything to be done ?

  1. Do you really think that those involved are willing to get the finger pointed at them?

I don't own a bible anymore. I guess you could say, i've disowned it. I doubt Jesus owned any Hebrew scriptures either, but seemed to have a good grasp of the contents. I once won a bet regarding the contents, long after i had disowned it. My leather bound bible, well underlined and highlighted, accompanied by cross-referencing books, is gone, perhaps given to Catholic charity, but i could probably win a bet that says Wallet is right, and you are talking about Samuel, not Sampson, in regards an early consecration scenario.

That's quite a spin you've got there, apologizing for the character Sampson. I wonder why you feel compelled to do so. Finally turned back to god when he was blind? The dude was fanatical from beginning to end.

It's been a while since i cared to inventory the dudes crimes against humanity...the random distribution of collective punishment for perceived personal slights. At one point, he lit the tails of foxes on fire so they could run and catch the fields afire of random Philistines. This has to assume he could even catch the foxes in the first place, suggesting that this whole story was completely made up, to stoke ethnic class-ism, for the benefit of a priest class.

If i recall, his actions led to a 20 years long war. It's really remarkable this appears, along with the lust/song of Solomon, in the ethnic literature, when book-keeping was so expensive.

But it works because it appeals to the base nature of the human experience, which is the burning desire to be SPECIAL. Whether a special person, or a special nation, it is flattering to be "chosen". Even more flattering to be chosen before you were born!

In this journey to be special, both Christians and Hebrews share a common quest. Special status is both a blessing, and a curse, to human existence. There would be no humans, that is, there would be no appearance of a human existence at all, without first this impulse to experience what it is like to be special. So it is a blessing because you could not be a human without it, and it's a curse because it is also what makes the human experience a living hell.

Special people need a special god...need to be made in the image of a special god.

If one is willing to accept the temptation of the "blessing", one must also be willing to accept the blow-back of the curse. This could be experienced as being kicked out of a country for being so damned special.

Which brings me to the special status of Islam.

Here is a people even more special than the Jews and the Christian combined.

    Need i say more?

Prepare, then, for the curse of war.

The vast majority of which occur in Chicago, Baltimore and Detroit, where obtaining a legally owned firearm is exceptionally difficult.

Maybe they should make it much more easy then, because you suggest that making it difficult results in more killings. Give every moron a few guns and the problem is solved, no?

If the few people who get a permission kill so many Americans, there is clearly a problem with the government who checks who can have and who cannot. They apparently give only permissions to mass killers. Might be the needed qualification...

No, I'm suggesting that making it illegal doesn't stop killings. If someone is committed to murdering another, then the misdemeanor that they get for having an illegal weapon isn't a deterrent. Almost all of the murders you are referring to are gang/drug/illegal activity related.

When a terrorist tries to commit mass murder, if he attempts to do so in a place where there are concealed carry owners, he will be put down. Of this you can be sure. The Orlando guy who attacked the nightclub went after a gay night club where he knew there wouldn't be concealed carry owners. Additionally, a night club makes it illegal to carry unless you are an officer as well (or unless they serve food as well).

It is strange that in the Western civilized world there is not a single country that has the problem of thousands of citizens that get killed by other US citizens. There is no country in the Western civilized world where so many people have guns. In fact in most countries almost nobody has a gun. And chances to get killed by a fellow citizen are drastically lower. Even if you take in account the Islamique terrorism.

    And my remark still stands:
"If the few people who get a permission kill so many Americans, there is clearly a problem with the government who checks who can have and who cannot. They apparently give only permissions to mass killers. Might be the needed qualification..."

Um, I'm not sure what your point is on all of this, so I'll just politely nod and said "ok".

It started with this posting from you:"So it's Trump's fault that there are attacks in the UK now?"

As you mentioned Trump I wanted to show the stupidity of his tweet (that I added) about guns, knives and trucks. And so on...

My point was that Trump tries to find arguments for his opinion about guns in the US, but in a very stupid way. He is pointing at Islamic terrorisme in Europe but "forgets" that in the US more people get shot and killed then Islamic terrorist can kill in Europe. So his opinion is that arms are needed to protect the US against Islamic terrorism, even if that will cause almost 10,000 death Americans (roughly three times the total number of people killed in 9/11) every year, over and over again.

I guess you'll have to point me to the scripture where it says that Saul was consecrated before birth.
