it's a shame that this whole mess has landed on the private sector. ie productive sector. government workers are basically unaffected. taxes go up to pay for this underworked group. true in both US and Europe.
Drugs and alcohol abuse; more than 1 aday on average is sapping the crap out of everyone. The government is only doing what we tax payers keep asking for; bail outs1 Get up and do something! The governement is giving everybody money why bother taking care of your home when you can live in a tent and get money from the government. Harsh I'm sure. But seriously get off the hooch and do something with yourself!
Yeah you should do something with yourself like get out and do something for your community like volunteer at the local VA helping disabled Vets or maybe at your local girls or boys club, there are many ways you can help out. There are lots of community programs waiting for you to volunteer. You ever hear the words,...."There but for the grace of God go I"? You and a lot of others posting on this thread might want to reflect on those words a bit and try and grasp its meaning.
I know guys that were living the shanty town lifestyle when things were booming actually... that one guy, gadz, he lived in a trailer outside of civilization in the Mojave Desert.. had water coming up out of the ground via a garden hose and some electricity but no hot water... gadz, when it was too cold for a cold bath or outdoor shower he smelled so bad... He would hang out in a coffee shop and I was thinking of using him as part of a weight loss program, just sit the fatasses over in his general direction and they would lose that appetite for real... I just about blew chunks the last time I saw him and I was three steps away from the table, I had to do a quick turn and get across the room just to maintain...
I am an ignorant individual? You are a bleeding hemoroid! Help someone help themselves; teach a man to fish and that man will eat for a lifetime! Stop pontificating and do something! Maybe you wont have to worry so much about whether or not any of us have any empathy!
Pics of Nashville This is one of the best slideshows of the affected area here in Nashville. From all of our landmarks to our biggest tourist spots and the neighborhoods/communities that are underwater. It has cost the city a total of a estimated $1 billion dollars in damage and that is not counting our tourism. Not to mention up to 20 deaths that came with it. Nashvillians have stood together through out this whole experience and Not one hint of any looting or violence throughout the city. We will stick together and have the hearts to help our fellow neighbors without question. It is the Nashville Way! http://www.ireport.com:80/docs/DOC-440688?ref=email
Thank God for globalization and our enlightened government. Without their swift learned responses to problems where would we be?
