yes...imagine when it isn't just one guy in the corner with the homeless sign, but 30-40 people. It'll go from just washing the window to washing the car....

  3. LOL..

In all seriousness, I was once 'homeless.'

I sold my soul to the devil [MLM Scam] and was quietly living in my up-line's office for a few months. I manged to take $500 to ~$20k and withdraw enough funds to get my sh*t out of storage and into a studio.

While I was living there I even let one friend borrow $250 to pay his rent so he wouldn't get evicted (he was evicted 4 months later anyways--serious drug addict). All I had to eat for 2 weeks was shitty Whey Protein, Flax Seeds, and Fish Oil caps. I didn't want him to go through what I went through.

I know what it's like to be homeless. It sucks. When you look into the abyss and nothing is looking back you do find yourself. If you give up there, you might as well do society a favor and do yourself in. Harsh words, but ultimately better for mankind.

  4. When I tell people "You have no idea what's just around the corner" that is exactly what I'm talking about it. It's going to be nutso!

  5. I must have had 15 people ask me for a cigarette yesterday, don't these people know it can kill ya? I'm either going to start passing out brochures from the surgeon general or pamphlets on the word of the Lord. Between the "can you spare dollar" and "got a cigarette?", I feel like Geithner.

  7. I'll never criticize the homeless. I've never been there, not even close. I have no idea what it's like to lose everything.

Supposedly the average person is 2 paychecks from the streets. I have no hard stats to back that up, it's just something I heard a while back.

  9. I will never make fun of the homeless or criticize them, UNLESS I KNOW their individual circumstances or they reveal their character to me, and it's flawed.

Example: I eat in 'Greektown' once every two weeks or so.

There is a black guy down there in his 50s who always sleeps on the steps of a church nearby, and I know for a fact that he has a mental illness.

I always get him an order of takeout with either lamb or beef, a ton of potatoes, rice, peas and sauce (Greek Style - you'd know it if you ever had true Greek food), because I know that he appreciates it, can't work, and isn't taking money and buying liquor or drugs.

When he sees me, his eyes light up because he knows he's going to get a complete, hot meal.

When it's super cold in the winter, there have been times where I actually ordered his food with the table's, and took it out to him right away.

But the average guy or woman on the street? I'd say there's a 90% chance they're either able bodied and can work or will spend whatever money they're given on booze or drugs.
