Well game to me is terminology i am used to. ( Lots of years studying chess) I play pretty serious. And its really quite a lot like a game. You have your position and a predefined world to move in. You choose your moves good or bad. The tally would be your earnings.

When you add the element of hard cash, it does bring a seriousness to whole thing. And i realize its hard work and a job. But i suppose some of the hardest work i ever done in my life i always tried to have fun while doing that as well.
I am truly sorry to hear you took a such hard loss. And thankful you shared so hopefully i will not do the same.

I don't travel in circles where people are even remotely interested in stocks the market or anything of the nature. And this forum gives me a bit of a outlet to gleam a bit of information for some very intelligent people.

Much like when i talk about my army days with army buddies, or atv's with some of my wild friends, I view this forum as a great water cooler to hang out at.

I am really thankful for all the generosity this group has given me already.

I made $80k in about 20 minutes trading very volatile Nasdaq tech stocks off a bottom bounce. :D

In terms of loss, when I first started back in the late 90's, I lost almost my entire account betting on a mining company called Bre-X minerals, which was later roasted over the coals because they not only didn't have the largest gold reserves in existence like they claimed, they didn't have any gold whatsoever. Fun times.

It sucks that you find this place a water cooler to hang out at, because treating it as a water cooler I think is not the best approach to the thread when you ask people to bare their trials and triumphs to you, as per your request.

Aside from that... as much as I may disagree with any of your posts, I want to say to you, Thank you for your service, sir. It is because of folks like you that I am still able to trade from the comfort of my own home in cozy clothing, and go buy a beer at midnight, and fart in public, and rant about nonsense in a bar when I've had one-too-many tequila shots... and for that freedom, we ALL should be grateful to you for protecting it.

Well then please inform me of how i should view it. I generally assume you wish to bait me into some kind of argument.

You can look at most of the other posts here and people are generally sharing. Its open to share and your more than welcome.

A water cooler atmosphere is where people hang out and talk about work in a friendly manner.
So if you view anything other than that.

But kinda of entertained to see how i should view it.

Well, what is the point of asking the question? People are posting big wins, big losses...You said folks can brag about it. What is the point of saying that? Will it help your trading plan to know that people are winning and losing over X amount of time?

It seems to me a "water-cooler" type of thread wouldn't be in the trading forum, but maybe in a different section? *shrugs* I dunno', maybe I'm just a little burnt on trading. Nothing against you man.

You seem pretty cool, the worlds pretty rough and we all get a edge on us sometimes i get it.

The idea was suppose to see how people did it won or loss.

When people make informed decisions, i like to look at the genius behind the idea. When people make informed decisions and the market moves against them I would like to looks at why it moved against them. Some times the answers are not concrete and clear and we can chalk it up to that's how the cookie crumbles.

But i do appreciate your input lots of views on the same subject matter do make better informed decisions.
