Tell me how Tech Analysis was supposed to forecast this flash-crash?

  1. All posts so far are just worthless after-the-fact BS!

I trade very long term, usually buying on bear markets/recessions.
I made 6 figures profit from the market rebound.
Now I'm on cash waiting for another plunge (double dip).

LOL. You want proof from a pimple faced kid spending all day on mommy's computer in her basement? In your dreams! :)

  4. I know that he/it will never prove anything.
I know he/it is a complete nut case.
I know his/its only purpose is to increase page views on this site.
I simply like putzing with him/it.

    :D

You give him/it too much credit to think he/it has a mother or is smart enough to find her/its basement if it existed.

  5. So this proves my statement that Tech Analysis is only recommended by brokers since it leads to frequent-trading.

    _______________________________________________________

I actually had a few lunchs with Swagger over at the CME club years ago.
Before 911 and I read his Tech. books.

The basic line...TA is a self fulling prophecy and measures heard mentality. So, in the older markets (Pre-911) the crowd would trade on the most popular or 'agreed' upon Pivots, resistance, support.

TA is not the holy grail and never claimed to be. It was a odds maker.

TA is now thrown out the window. The odds are less likley as the PPT, HTFs, and countless other "Forces" have manipulated the markets.

TA did not predict the FLASH CRASH. It will never predict such an event.

With that said, TA is just one of many tools that can help the odds...of success.

+1. but i think it would be too hard for him to understand this simple statement. for whatever reason this guy's brain(if any) stuck on "daytrading is a losing game" mode and whatever he can stick to it.
    now -it's TA.

crgarcia-i did not see any brokers, who is really "recommend" using anything. neither certain tools OR specific time frames.. prove it. show us whatever..and get off those pills..cause i think you are hallucinating right now..surrounded with dreams about 6 figures profits and evil brokers, who pushing poor people to trade frequently...

  7. I posted my trades real time (long term trades).
You search for them on ET.

So in short, you are admitting TA doesn't work.

Just look at all those "quit your trading job" BS all over the internet recommending frequent trading.
There are plenty of sites recommending daytrading.

Technical analysis also gave no warning of the 9/11 bombings.

However, most technical analysis traders were already short a good week before the flash crash.

in your first post in this thread you specifically mentioned BROKERS.
i did ask you very specific question-can you prove that the BROKERS are pushing TA to their customers.now you start referring to some "BS websites"...

  10. I'm not asking you to prove you can't trade. I've searched your posts and can see that for myself.

You said, "I made 6 figures profit from the market rebound.
Now I'm on cash waiting for another plunge (double dip)."

    PROVE IT.

(Which we all know you won't. We all know you will tuck your pick diaper between your legs and run like always but it is fun to watch anyway.)
