People born into money and power start out with their own dreams and ambitions as I'm sure Ted did. Ted probably told his mom he would like to be a bartender or pastry chef. She would have none of that. "You're so much better than that, Ted" Through the formative years Mom amd son fought over this issue. "Ted, your destiny is so much more than eating donuts all day or working in a gin mill". "Mom, really, I'm not cut out for anything else" Mother got her way, "I'll CUT YOU out of the will" she threatened. Ted went into politics (paybacks a bitch mother!!) and ate cake and drank.
