Actually I have not been able to get very good carrots. And I battle blossom end rot in tomatoes every year. I have tried various things but nothing seems to work very well. If anyone has any ideas on solving the tomato problem, then please help me here.

Well here it is. The session will soon be over and I haven't hit a "lick at a snake" in the garden. I did take three blows at the market today. LOL.

Thanks! I will try that immediately today! I use Hydrogen Peroxide 35% food grade for drinking but diluted in water (in small portions) for health reasons. It never even ocurred to me to use it to fight blossom end rot in tomatoes. I always tried to fight it using calcium, which hasn't worked so well. At times it works ok and helps some but now I got another tool in the toll box. Thanks!

  6. Hi Volpri, I have been lurking in the garden for a few days but I think I have been spotted. I heard about your Journal from a MACD post on July 20th in the Thread "What Kind of r/r Do Scalpers Use" I have just started to work my way through this thread but WOW am I impressed. It is amazing what you are doing and sharing.

I am trying to learn to scalp Apple stock as a PDT but I have a lot to learn and I think I can benefit a lot from your teaching. I like Apple because there is no trading cost on stocks and you can scale down to a level that has basically no risk but still trading a live market.

Now for the real reason for this post. I am a gardener as well and tomatoes are my specialty so here is the solution to your tomato blight and rot problem:

Mix up a bucket of this mixture in the following ratios:

    6 cups Compost
    1 cup Powdered nonfat milk
    1 cup Epson Salts
    2 tablespoons Baking Soda
    2 teaspoons of Mule Borax

Sprinkle a hand full of the mixture into each planting hole. Sprinkle a little more powdered milk on top of soil and repeat every few weeks throughout the growing season.

Back to trading, one thing I have learned already from your post the other day about "Taking your Profits" and that sometimes you can make the same trade two or three times in the same bar. I see that a lot in Apple. I have a 10 cent gain and I exit at breakeven when it drops back to my entry price, then it goes back to my 10 cent profit or higher. Lightbulb going on! Take my 10 cent profit and take the trade again when it drops back to my original entry.

I sprayed my butter beans, my tomatoes, my peas, my okra, my squash, my zucchini, my large christmas butter beans, and my cucumbers with the hydrogen solution. It was so hot and humid out there I think I almost got dehydrated. Hope it works. Thanks for the tip.

Do you make your own compost or buy one already made up. If you buy it what brand? Where does one buy mule borax?

I have already planted so cannot put the mixture in the hole. Are you saying I should sprinkle the mixture around the plant every few weeks or sprinkle just the powdered milk every few weeks?

On BO bars there will be alot of back and forth up and down. I often will enter and exit multiple times on one bar.

  9. Yes I mix my own using this list. Mule Borax is a cleaning agent and you can get it about anywhere. It is common but I agree I had never heard of it either but my wife knew all about it. Sprinkle a hand full of the mixture on ground around the base of each plant and a slight bit more of the powdered milk in addition.

On those bars I do see the back and forth but I tend to panic on the "back" LOL!

  10. Oh on the Compost, I just buy a bag at a local garden shop. I believe it is just to give the mixture some body to even out the distribution of the other items.
