Here are a couple of trades I took this morning. I want to show them from the perspective of 24 hour chart 5 min chart and RTH's 5 min chart. I am posting them here but will explain later as I am missing out on more trades with all this typing and annotation. I type slow and it takes me a while to explain the concepts..the trades...etc. Things move faster than I can do the annotations LOL. I try to show the charts in tandem as time moves along but find I cannot do the annotations fast enough to explain the concepts later on. So here the latter chart (RTH's) in bars is running ahead for the 24 hour chart. I kept updating the RTH's so as to drive home the points I want to make on the chart. The 24 hr chart had advanced enough for the points I wanted to make. There are some concepts in these charts here that are good to look at. Will explain the charts later.
THANKS @volpri -- as usual you often put this thread before your personal trading time. It is amazing that you are so generous. (How you tolerate the Lurkers that appear and you spend lots of time typing info to help them and then in one day they are gone -- If they learned your valuable training, and adopted it. that quickly, at least they could explain their "rapid learning system" and offer thanks.
I am having a problem with waiting too long to get in. I got in the wick of the down candle and got stopped out. I have only been wrong on direction once in the last few weeks, but I am getting in too late to take advantage.
Can you specify the time of the candle on my 5 min charts? Not sure which one you are talking about on my chart.
ok here is the 2 min chart. Which candle has your entry and which your SL? you can reply by just stating the time of the candles.
Might add that when trading during higher volatility times one must react quickly in placing trades and then rely on scaling adjustments if necessary.
