Hmm, I've been labeling the non-dominant retraces of the steeper traverse as dominant internals with respect to the shallow traverse, and have one uninterrupted long black Gaussian... I suspect I'm painting too thickly with the Dominant internal brush... I have also (unintentionally) omitted to explicitly name the dominant internals, and have merely represented them all with a D in the INT column.
My unamended chart is testimony to the flawed analysis and decision-making that delayed the last reversal by six bars (from 67 to 73), and in the process gave up 30 points. I should have recommenced the day trading proper but just wanted to secure MADA before the added emotional encumbrance of real money. What I can say is that today was without a doubt the first day I have successfully applied MADA and known that I know for the vast majority of the day. It's a strangely empowering feeling. I think the last drill in combination with the document were instrumental in bringing some pieces together.
.. Although there is still enormous room for improvement in the log, I feel that almost overnight, it has transformed from a disposable data-entry sheet to a record of the day that is at least as valuable as the day's chart.
It's funny. All along I genuinely believed I was doing MADA. I was utterly convinced. Yet today felt worlds apart from any other day that had preceded it. I almost wish I'd had a biofeedback device up and running. I know there were times at which I may have swayed back towards unproductive feelings, both those were few and far between, and easily averted by consciously refocusing on MADA. The effect of taking more complete monitoring subsets was also tangible. The carryover of traverse, channel and sequence contributed tremendously to the feeling of certainty and comfort and context. Highlights the importance of due diligence, even if it's something as easily achieved as extending a few lines and clarifying the closing sequence.
