Technical Strategy

  1. As a boot camp college student, the lab has been running for 35 minutes considering the start of the lab and 6 bars being observed and the annotating and logging are the main ingredients.

The instructor would go around class and use a laser on the screen to point out a lot of information to be obsreved and to be logged and to be annotated.

the three principles, the PV relation and a lot of items would be on the table. the sweeps chart is important because it is suggesting that almost nothing is happening in order to make money.

I have all the distractors on ignore and I do read the "quotes" of those who entertain thier remarks.

ET wasn't always this way. In the beginning the ratio was 7 to 1 to detractors to contributors. In CW only so much is possible. CW cannot be used to deal with an algorithm that is outside of CW as is the pool extraction algorithm.

The fact that this algorithm is a horizontal one and not vertical as is CW is another stumbling block for those who are CW differentiated.

finally, the components of support, comfort and confidence of this algorithm do not exist in CW. There in CW, there is much impairment as fear, anxiety, and anger dominate the sensory process of OODA, which was originally designed to train fighter pilots during the MIG era. John Boyd was a successful fighter pilot and subsequently a successful trainer of fighter pilots.

Trading to make money is not "fighter pilot" and there is not even any concept of competing in trading.

By using binary vectors (direction and magnitude) we eliminate several handicaps other CW readers constantly face. There are only two possibilities when using binary vectors and always one or the other is in effect. To make the choice of one or the other, the most recent evidence is used for comparison in the Present. MADA is used over and over.

Things are slowed down considerably by using 81 bars to cover 6 and 1/2 hours. Both price and colume are used from the beginning to describe the Present.

Channels are composed of traverses and traverses are composed of tapes. The tapes originate from 2 bars and there are seven cases involved. This is annotation and it is part of M of MADA the routine,

The routine is one of certainty and is complete often and then repeated. By doing this the mind reaches closure every MADA cycle and there is nver any guesswork involved since everything is a binary vector from the beginning.

the beginner just uses channels and the corresponding volume eebb and flow. Channels overlap and the overlap has a beginning and an end which is notable. All the beginner does is note the occasional beginng of the overlap and change sides of the market in order to be on the right side during all times.

Two column on the log are inportant for this: the MODE column and the D column. They are separated by the remarks column where what is going on is noted. For beginners the remarks column is largely the history of going from pts 1, 2, and 3 to FTT. Pt 1 and FTT coincide. The MODE is C for continue most of the time. H goes in the D column and it stands for HOLD. When a reversal occurs, an X standing for change goes in the MODE column. If an X is in the MODE column, the D column does NOR have an H placed in the column. Instead a decision is made to reverse so an R for reversal is placed in the decision column. An FTT will be found in the remarks column between the MODE column and the D column.

Basically a person in boot camp can pick up four log sheets before open and put in most of the beginner MODE, remarks and D column data on the logs before the market opens.

Basically he is going to go up and down volume moutains on dominant and non dominant trails until he comes to a peak and an FTT appears in the remarks column. In the MODE column on that row will be and X and over in the D column he will write in an R for the reversal action. He will note the contracts, bar, time and Price on the far right of the log.

Shortly after this and during the rows of logging the overlap (put overlap in the remarks), he comes to a BO on the RTL and notes either a R2R or B2B in the volume column.

Any boot camp person can use an evening to fill in four log pages for an M day and four log pages for aW day. He can grab four sheets and do a long trending day or a short trending day or he can do both.

here is a CW mind chart for the Bohr effect. At this time the oxygen level flowing to the brain by being pumped by the heart drops down to about 50% of normal. Some of you may have heard of the "early exit" which is a trade mark for getting to the sidelines in PA trading, one of the common CW types of trading. Low oxygen levels are one of the causal factors for the "early exit" The other is "blowing out" during cascading right after protective stops become unexecuted market orders far from where the stop was presumed to be activated.

In a couple of days we can use the boot camp to go through whole days in about 40 minutes as a drill in logging a whole day in 40 minutes using MADA at a fast rep rate.

  2. This is the next row of logging. The pic shows the OB.

As daniel33 notes when he reads it is verbal diahrerra (sp) for him. He is differentiated to another set og beliefs and as a consequence the streams of words going in through his reading sensor and to the three operators that pass things on to his mind memories, don't resonate with him in any logical or structured way. More reading gets the same result.

for anyone interested look in two places: the sympathetic and parasympathetic activity of fight or flight, respectively. The gas pedal or the brake pedal.

He types with the gas pedal and then decides to apply the brakes and evaporate.

This thread has inputs he sees as stressors>>>>> he goes on auto >>>>>> types emotional >>>>> and at his PC and in the chair too late deals with the physical manifestations. He stsates he is not going to repeat these laps he has been taking as posts trigger him over and over.

He seeks information that supplies his differentiated mind according to its differentiation. To do any of this he requires a means to change his beliefs. No one in the thread can act as a supplier of the means.

In heart and mind and body parlance, he requires a training system that will allow him to not go on automatic when he perceives a stressor. He has to change, intentionally his heart's waveform. I can give him instructions and he can see it happen as an exercise. In boot camp is is a requirement and the PC would be used after the manual drill so a person cqan recognize how the mind --- heart connection works. Once the connection is there then the means is developed usig a PC display where just talking the person through the drills get the person conscious of the technique.

To learn in boot camp, you have to leave a lot of stuff at the door and once inside you have to get oriented for the trading day and for accepting input.

I am tring to point out slowly with a few pics and anotations what a person starting out in boot camp has to key before him to be able to deal with all opportunities that come with each bar.

reading any of this as daniel33 does is a waste of time simply because your mind -- heart -- body conections are prewired to do into an auto fight or flight response that you have ZERO control over.

    to learn you cannot fight

to learn you cannot do flight.

Both are emotionally driven by a syndrome as old as man and his survival before PC's or any tools whatsoever.

Learning in an algorithm that is horizontally oriented is a situation where thinking critically without any auto responses like those on ignore have is required.

Tia Chi is not lept into either. Breathing preparation allows all practitioners to come simply to a rooted state where they are grateful and have appreciation for and about themselves, others and the world.

Bill Moyers wrote about many of these things in the early 90's he went to see about things with David Eisenberg. The PBS series on this stuff was classic and ranks with Campbell's informative work on cultures and their common ways.

So Chi is the aspect of a person that enwraps his life spark and being. Qi is the eastern word. Read "Healing and the Mind" by Moyers and "Encounters with Qi" by David Eisenberg.

  3. Here we see what happens after bar 7 an OB. The shadow of the OB is what the beginner is annotating.

In january of 2007 we spent the month and the month of february getting annotating down all in the context of the P, V relation. 60 days to get underway in the syllabus and with very hearvy moderation.

That year 1 million hits happenedin that thread. This year it is closed and has had another 500,000 hits and the Iterative refinement follow on has had over 800,000 hits so far this year.

Here we see two BO's and the shadow broken on the respective next bars. This gives tapes and they are steep. and the volume for all four bars is extrordinary. For a beginner he is witnessing a lot of action and he is in the market.

By the start of the shadow breakout of the last OB, the whole day jells for all levels of traders. Annotating the pt 1, 2, and 3, of the start of the day has occurred and not everything was squeeky clean. To see between the C's of the MODE column and the H's of the D column a set of remarks filled in that include pt 3 and then point 2 and THEN having the RTL and LTL drawn in is an accomplishment in boot camp day 1 by 10:15 or so completes an hour of 6 and 1/2 hours.

An expert is also feeling good and has several reversals under his belt as well. The last week of boot camp will have all the students trading as experts as well.

  4. Here is a catch up for others who are not feeling like boot camp for four weeks.

Your log is more complete. You may have YM charts annotated. you may be using the S/S >>>> to DOM >>>> to T &S >>>>> to the two tic charts and their sequences of five formations.

If you are running 50, 50, 50, 50 and 50. you have to punch in 100's five times after the intial 50, 50 ,50 50 and 50 as you zip past the open flag. All partials were odd harmonics on bar end spikes except the OB reversal going from L to S on bar 7. that was a smooth one on the YM tic chart using two pairs and carving. Bar 9 was more even harmonic and NOT seeing ANY range expansion to move the S of the day meant the partials were steady 15 second spaced going around the two pair tic chart on a combo of YM leading ES a little bitty bit. The dwel on the extremes was less thanon the other side of the two pair. Some you got some you didn't.

Use a #M micropore tape on your lips So that all three cavities in your nasal passage is swirling the breeses on your inhale. As you punch partials on exhales and inhales to space each one you can do a one sec breath hold at end of each inhale. This punches your heart beat down and lets the O - 2 filling in your lungs stay at peaking. I run under 55 beats ordinarily and I keep my waveform all the way to parasympathetic (all green no blue no red and ladder is off the top of the chart. I use ear ubs feed.

  6. Neoxx

    Neoxx

For the benefit of other newcomers, VE stands for Volatility Expansion... price thrusting beyond the Left Trend Line on exceptional volume.

As you can see, the LTL is subsequently adjusted.

  7. Thanks for putting mandelbrot on ignore. The best reason is that he is wrong and not contributing.

The binary concept of MODE and D just having two values is a significant one. In trading probability is not a requirement.

Having no probability to deal with in making money is a very distinct advantage.

So far we just deal crudely with the Present. we are only using a small piece of the top of the sweeps chart.

Stocks are an application of the pool extraction algorithm. They do the same thing as indexes. Their "natural cycle" is slower and a 30 minute chart shows how the daily bars wotk in terms of price and volume.

It become inevitable that an SCT trader must trade stocks and finally must trade sectors. Use the 1 contract trading of mr Black as an example. He does 5,000 net a day and therefore by his business plan he must add more contracts daily.

It is prudent for him to use the attached chart and an ATS with the rules on the chart to trade stocks. To get the stocks he clicks his computer on and they are, daily sitting on his display automatically from his platform provider as part of the sort done overnight by the provider for him.

They appear on a list that also has the unusual volume as a sort. During the AM lift off in volume an hour or so before price begins to lift off. A person runs 4 to 8 streams of capital up to 100,000 shares each and makes 100 cycles per year trading 2 cycles each 5 day period (known as a week on a calander.) The return per cycle is 10% or more. Trader 666 proved conclusively that he has not tested this each time it has been presented to him for testing. Were he to ever test it he would get the wrong result for him and keep it a secret.

So what would a person do with SCT or PVT profits. we think they will go to their alma maters and run month long boot camps. certainly, anyone running a boot camp can give each person his starting capital and run it up for him the first month. the deal is that the person pays it forward in the future and he can finish degrees he wishes and do what he wants to make the world a better place in the future.

I think running boot camps for urban gangs is a great idea too. Long ago I was responsible for the first city wide gang moratorium in Philadelphia. I was head quartered at 29th and diamond for that effort. A city wide food program for students in middle school is what precipitated the moratorium and gangs painted row homes street by street and put in small vegetable gardens and fruit trees as they went. There were on demand open orders for food for all persons working these turfs as the weeks went by. Private schools provided the paint wood and power tools for building window boxes. Football was the rageas well.

  8. Okay.

what is it like to have your four log sheets there and have a poinjt 1, 2, and 3 in ecen if you have spent an hour and not have a channel formed by traverses formed by tapes?

It is normal and you are doing 4 to 7 trades a day going from the beginning of one channel overlap to the next beginning of the channel overlap.

We have an M day as we are looking towards two am trades: long then short going into midday. first we bag the intial range expansion and then we make a trip across the range to what is called lunch.

It is a day when the troops are loading over 800billion into the helicopter for throwing out on Wall st, i. e. just like any other day.

So what comes between a point 3 and an FTT? More hikes up and down the mountain --- black up and red down. What else? If you have done a trade or two you know. Look on the remarks column from thrursday. Do you see a VE somewhere.

Volatility Expansion. is what it takes to get the am range for the day set up. when the daily am range is set up what do we usually do? Like everyone else we bag the range of the day. 1X ATR.

Each hike up is like a bear climbing across the Appilacians (sp) and he sings the song. At the top of black volume he is seeing a VE written in the remarks column of the log between a C in the MODE and an H in the D column.

All peaks are B2R or R2B depending on the range expansion going on for a day. M days are B2R and W days are R2B peaks.

After a few VE's we are ready for an FTT simply because we kbow in our hearts in is getting harder to make more elevation with all those contracts in out packs. If you are carrying 5 -- 50's and you have gone through four VE's your heart may be beating.

This is not like being a quant in an illiquid market made of securities you have invented. There is no reversion to the mean going on here.

So if you are having a lot of VE's how hard is it to get to the RTL we have from pts 1 and 3? If you have VE's, then what do non dom's look like with steep dom's popping along? Right you are getting used to internals on the non dom side of the am range expansion.

When you drive a car, there is just the driving and no excitement. Just a sequence of event that gets you from A to B.

Here is the deal. you trade simple. You do C in MODE and H in D columns. you are trucking down the road in boot camp on day one and you have a month of boot camp. Boot camp gets you to drive a car in the market by going through sequences to get from A to B in a 6 and 1/2 hour drive.

we have now driven past the first point 3 of boot camp and we are hungry little bears crossing the Appilacians with out packs of contracts on our backs. 1, 2 5
then 10 then 20 then 40 then 50 then 50's. We get EXPERIENCES and they turn short term memory into long term memory. everything gets familiar because we breath easy and we hike our tails off.

    here is the first VE.

  9. here is some more VE on bars

    See bars 11, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19. All are VE's

  10. There are a lot of people who have contributed to the scripts of SCT and as you see they are continually lifted and used by people to get to various levels.

Hee learning SCT has made it to the place greaterreturns wound up. the level of profits for these people usually runs between beginner and advanced beginner.

The reason is, whether reverse engineered or just snipped and put to work or by converting to mean reversion as greater returns did is that thsew people are not using logic and building blocks coming up form a foundation.

Why can't Learning SCT use FTT's? FTT's come from a context. the contet is not a geometric or algebraic envelope context.

People either fit into paying it forward or not. as you see when there is no pay it forward in the person's orientation, the person also has other constraints from his life style and approach.

When a person finnaly orients to helping other people, a lot of changes occur in a person's life style. It is not just simply being rich. Rich is very easy as long as it is not inductive as you see learning SCT and greaterreturns have as a non scientific approach.

Boot camp, on the other hand, is scientifically based and stems from the null hypothesis.

so what did pepe do that was null hypothesis based? He made a foundation and built with building blocks to have a MODE signal and he attached the stalagtites, horizontally to the bar chart of ninja. see below:

    <img src="http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2105607" width=800>

A little tired here big weeding and bulb storing day here after morning hike. I have 1 hour until I start dinner prep.

If the lower right data block had the last three bars of data for P, V xomparison you can see how the binary comparison column to column would come into play. If you trade at intermediate or above you immediatley recognize how to use the binary comparison as the the forming bar data changes. the use of precentages instead of an absolute is also there to give a relative feel for pace change if it is in the wind.

Obviously I am doing a segway for bare 19's VE and the bear hiking all am in the extraordinary volume mountains.

If we do not keep this pace of volume up the opportunity for more VE's is going to go away quite fast and the papae indicator would go to change quite fast. the contiue you see is set way above the trading ATS's of Learning SCT and greater returns ATS inductive non science related codiing.
