Thanks for the comments, LJ. I always have a look at this website during my preflight check. It rates news items in terms of their expected impact on the currencies. I just make a note of the ones affecting the USD, note the times, and mark them on the chart, using the same colour coding they've adopted. I've not looked into correlations etc and I don't let it influence my MADA. I'm sure you're right, and a lot of the news items have little impact. I just like to be aware of what's happening.
Reversed short. 862.25 @ 10:53:31 One bar late. Had a different idea about WMCN.
Hadn't seen that site. It is always interesting to reflect on how the people who run these various venues come up with their 'conclusions'. Barron's and Economy.com (now part of the Moody's happy family) do a similar thing but are much less specific. Don't know that I agree with your using the USD as some sort of leading pulsimeter but who knows. I agree that one should be aware when the 'results' of these various measurements are to be announced but even then one MUST ask, 'Is this really new news?' or did the smarties know what the number was going to be before it was announced and thus are jerking people around (as pe usual). lj
Chart update. Missed the nice faster-fractal SOC making a sandwich, so still short.
On a related note, I haven't yet begun using the ATS as a 'trade-assist' tool. Initially, this was due to an ethical issue - which I've since resolved - and currently, a technical issue.
And the presumed short traverse point 1 just got taken out.
Consequently, this is the only annotation that makes sense. Another strike against inter-day continuity and the sanctity of sequences. Reversed long, as we need a formation BO then more IBV to complete the long sequence. 865.75 @ 13:15:15
