I personally use and teach a particular technical analysis indicator package as just one of four trade entry tests that need to be satisfied in order to consider buying or selling a spread. So, do I use TA ? Yes. Is it the be all and end all ? No of course not. Can you successfully trade without TA ? Most assuredly. Is there a population of traders who consistently profit from data sampling and modeling techniques including TA over a protracted period of time ? I'm sure that there are. There is no one way to successfully trade markets.
I shorted the fuck out of /ES today from 2623 using TA as my deciding factor and closed out somewhere around 2600. I guess I should give my profits back to my broker.
that is one technique i have not seen in 25 years of trading:'shorting the fuck out of'....sounds like fun
is there any way that works 100% of the time? no. so it is better to use the simplest technique rather than use 15 super computers and 5 quantum physicists and getting the same results.
