Where are all the technicians in Chicago? Why can't I find anyone in this city, the derivatives capital of the world, who solely employs technical analysis to make their trading decisions? I've been all over this city, have spoken to some of the most legendary traders, sat in some of the most prestigious prop shops, conversed with some of the most brilliant hedge fund managers, and yet not one person admits to using technical analysis in any way shape or form to make DAYTRADING decisions. What gives? I see tons of people here on ET who are DAYTRADERS and are 100% technical in their trading decisions. Who use Candles, pivots, trendlines, etc. And who ignore all fundamentals. I'm excluding scalpers and automated trading programs. I'm looking for pure, "I do what the charts tell me to do" traders. Why can't I find anyone in this city who does the same? What gives? Is TA a farse? Am I barking up the wrong tree?
