  1. im a journalist/ hedge fund marketer/ former professional trader with small fund, analyst at another, presently a retail sport trader/ and publisher. i have several lower rung academic degrees. i don't posess any high level degrees yet, but am associated with many who do. Plus have met many who you simply read about, so it appears that i have at least a little knowledge in this business.

  3. "Several lower rung academic dregrees?" Could you please identify them, and briefly explain how they enable you to make such absolute pronouncements as it relates to trading and the markets?

As for your "professional trading," would you kindly put a few numbers on that remark such as percentage return and so on? Just the bare bones will do nicely.

Oh, and you seem to place a high value on knowing people. Indeed, nothing so lends itself to credibility and authority as name droppings. Competence by association is a marvelous thing.

  4. actually, the degrees themselves lend little creedence to trading/markets, although 2 are in economics/business. my direct experience, extensive self study, and observation of others has enabled me to reach certain conclusions regarding this business ---personal profitability has nothing to do with it. not sure why you think that it does???

what is your background and credentials? still waiting.

must be nice to be an anonymous internet denzien who can question without answering.

  5. Since you asked twice, I'll answer nice. By way of academic background, I have a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and an MBA primarily in finance. The degrees helped me get a job in banking and were of ~some use to me there. However, my educational background has no bearing whatsoever on my trading. I'm a small-fry at-home trader who has, by all accounts, taken longer to get profitable than anyone else here. I do not present myself as an authority figure of any kind. Therefore, my credentials are of no consequence insofar as these discussion boards are concerned.

You, however, present yourself as an authority who speaks in absolutes and makes blanket pronouncements. You take it upon yourself to speak for everyone as to what is and what is not possible. Therefore, surely you can understand the need to subject your background to appropriate scrutiny.

I note that you have not yet specifically identified your academic credentials and have not provided any numeric values in connection with your trading performance. Will these items be forthcoming? Or will we only be furnished with a list of the latest parties you have attended?

  6. ahh, so you are not a librarian as the rumours indicate.

i guess you didn't read my previous post--- my academic degrees are low level and have little to nothing to do with this business. my experience and self education is extensive, however, providing me the ability to understand and talk about markets with some authority. however, i have been humbled at times, as there are those who know far more than myself in many aspects of the business--but that which i speak about, i believe i know a good bit regarding. decide for yourself.....

I have Tdog on ignore. Seeing a little bit of his post in yours, reminds me why. It was more peaceful after doing so.

He digs and scratches (like for your credentials), continuing on whether or not he has anything to say. It seems he refuses to himself provide what he is incessantly demanding of you.

What kind of knucklehead would expect others to post their personal credentials on the web for all to see.

Maybe he wants you to supply your SSN, mother's maiden name, passport, bank/credit card account numbers, and a key to your residence???

  8. Unfortunately, your "experience and self-education" appears not to have enabled you to understand much of anything about the markets, though you do indeed talk about them. At length.

    Decide for ourselves? We have.

I would be more than happy to compete with you one on one in a competition. Perhaps you would care to put up all your hot air on the line.

My pleasure but I asked once before and you backed out. If you have something of value to put up I'm in. If not . . . stop asking.
