  1. The fact he connects to Jack is about enough to know.

The fact that he said it is perfectly random dismisses the rest. If it is perfectly random, then it cannot be traded or predicted. And the market is not perfectly random, it contains a strong trend component.

Yes the market is usually "right" It contains the collective knowledge of all participants.

But frankly, ProfLogic usually drones on with a strong need to be seen as academic and clever.

  2. Snowflakes and ocean waves are perfectly random, unique and no two are alike but yet we can determine absolute consistencies in each. You can only wish you knew as much as you think you know.

The "Collective Knowledge" makes it random unless you think we all get together each day and discuss our "collective" trading strategies? A "trend" is not something interjected into the market but a product of the movement in a particular chart of a particular market.

In regards to Jack, we trade nothing alike but I understand how he and Spyder look at the market. For the way that they have discovered a unique view of the markets I respect them.

  3. New? channels and volume.. new?

How those two clowns pull the wool over traders eyes when they cant call a live trade, post their P/L.. or even post a profit in a trading contest is beyond me.. not a single person in that thread is making any money with this new revolutionary technique.. what is it again? Oh yes, channels and volume.. unheard of

  4. Buy1Sell2

    Buy1Sell2

This has gone on long enough. Last week, I increased my trading account (not my total portfolio of course) 18.7% using TA. Granted, there was quite a bit of movement in futures last week, but the TA was still the impetus for my decision making. Thank you for your time. :)

  6. Again, a clueless statement about reality. "Last week" is not a valid statement to prove an assertion. It is one, anecdotal example which has no statistical value. And that does not even get into the fact that you could be lucky and TA has nothing to do with it.

I know you will likely react to this, but it needs to be a lot more convincing than your past statement...

  7. That's not the point. I understand it. You don't. Therefore you dismiss it. Which is why you remain so ignorant.

Try thinking. It may hurt for awhile, but eventually you'll get used to it.

  8. I'm astonished that you would suggest that this sort of thing goes on at ET.
