Very glad to hear that you are evolving as a trader. Just keep an open mind along the way, and you may surprise yourself with what you are able to learn.
My mind is always open to new possibilities, not shut off from them because of previous experiences and biases. While I am very happy with my method, I surely wouldn't assume that there isn't more to learn. And I enjoy the process of further refinement.
@RCG You seem to be a genuine seeker of truth so I'll explain why I know , TA and other market esoteria is a waste of time. I spent 100's of hours as. TA true believer-- in fact, I got my start in the journalism biz on the TA site "clear station" from where I was hired as an analyst and daily commentator for e*trade media after etrade purchased the site. As you know I would use a Gann Wheel to determine the daily channel to trade off of. It was very successful. However, I decided to just use random numbers to pick the channel one day--- guess what-- my results were the same as spending hours with the wheel. Then it stopped working completely because the nature of the market changed. This was step 1 in the evolution/education, I'll periodically post the next levels in my market acumen and growth in hopes it helps someone from going down the wrong path of TA particularly the esoteric version or by following random gurus and those who claim success --yet are anxious to "help" you. If you haven't observed, this site is full of these types-- great fodder for future writings.....with this said..... I'm not going to tell all or name many names here, then no one will buy my book when released in the fall of 2012 that will be a complete expose' of this biz and the characters who lurk on it's seedy underbelly of delusions, lies and attempted reinvention.
Do you SERIOUSLY think you are going to convince someone who already successfully trades using his own 'concoction' of TA that YOU, a hobby trader, have definitively found that all TA is worthless? LOL, gimme a break man
You mean recipe, right? No, I can't argue with savants, wizards, psychics, and grand masters. Not to mention th statistically inept, math deprived deluded souls who only exist in cyberspace under aliases. Of course you have the keys to the market. How do I know? You told me! Surf
Quote from Rodney King: Is "Fireplace" the culinary artist? I lost track of this thread... He sure writes like a chef. It may be the sous chef from the basement Kichen---oops mean trading bunker.
So that would make you the student in a kindergarten writing class, right? Anna is in for a rude awakening. Surf says, I don't insult people or make snide remarks.
Yes, I'm a mere microbe among the greats. Did ya get a chance to read Covel's latest book yet? Surf PS. How is that a snide remark? I have great respect for good chefs--- those who are into molecular cuisine are amazing! Check out Nathan Myhrvoid's. Yes the billionaires new book modernist cuisine. It's excellent.
