  3. Yeah, I already said I don't use charts, but whatever. I would love to see you identify, at a better than chance level, charts of assets traded by HFT and assets not traded by HFT. I highly doubt you could identify any difference in the charts. Sort of a "blind taste test".

HFT is just the latest in a long line of boogeymen that people blame for not being able to understand the markets.

  4. Of course charts do not lead the way, they show mass sentiment, which is what all traders trade, no matter the ilk.

Looking back at your threads Surf your issue is asset allocation. You have some very nasty trading habits, and you know better than to do any of them. Why are you trying to nail exact tops and bottoms? Why do you average down? Your system, unlike others here, seems to have no stable parameters. How do you ever hope to succeed at this, even at the hobby level?

  5. When this HFT first started, I suggested that the answer is simply to pan out of reach of the bots, if they are making that much noise, amplify the signal by panning out for a better view. You would a thought I hit on somebody's wife:D

  6. Wow, a lot has happened here in a few days....my guess is the malcontents are still butting heads with the ones who can trade?

  9. How do you know who can trade from claims on a message board?

  10. Surf, I have asked you the same three questions several times now. Why won't you answer them?
