Your question can't be answered properly because you're, apparently proudly, not sharing any details about how you daytrade. If you have a highly discretionary system it would be impossible to teach entirely, a mechanical one would not.
I had the opposite problem to IAN. My father, in his 70s, saw me making a living from trading, and one day when I visited my parent's home he suddenly had a multi monitor setup and was day trading. I never sell the idea of trading to others because I know how difficult it is...I guess he figured it must be easy, after all, if the child (in his 30s) can do it... It was a nightmare situation for me. On the one hand, I didn't want to be negative and discouraging. I was the most competent trader he knew so I especially don't want to be the person to say "it can't be done". At the same time, I wasn't in any way comfortable. If my parents ended up homeless one day, would I be the one that the family blamed for "introducing" my father to day trading? The backdrop for this situation is that my parents were really struggling financially after the failure of the family business of many years, forced sale of family home, poor health to both parents as a result of stress, etc. I could go into a lot of details but this is perhaps getting off topic. Fortunately, after buying a couple of off the shelf trading "systems", and spending three or four years of part time unprofitable trading my father gave up one day. He never did take me up on my offer to sit with me for a week and watch me trade. Just the same as he didn't like it when I hit the golf ball further than him. Family can really screw you over, consciously or subconsiously, and dealing with related issues probably held me back for a few years. Don't lend money to family and expect to get it back when you need it. Now I'm in the "fortunate" position that my wife and I can't have children. It's disappointing for the wife, but a big part of me is not too upset with the situation. I might not even like my own child. The big elephant in the room...
No, i asked already professionals to help me. It appears to be very difficult. The biggest part is automated but human intervention is still necessary. That's why they will need to work 8 hours a day for months to understand and master the human part.
His instagram looks like that of a multi-millionnaire, but I guess it could all be fake, or maybe it's real but his money doesn't come from trading? There was a thread on bigmike's once, questioning whether his statements etc were actually from a live account and not a demo. He used to run the tradeitdontdateit chatroom. However, his calls often seemed to be in hindsight (''I went short there on the ES, 5 minutes ago, currently making 4 points, so 350K'') etc, so I lost interest and stopped going there. As with every trader online, 'Who knows what's really real!! lol
$1.5m per year? You are a salesman using the forum to increase your sales. I'm sincerely happy for your success, but the problem is your hostility toward traders. You calling IAN a moron and bashing TA. It rarely stops. It's inappropriate in my mind because you're a vendor and it's associated with what you describe as your effort to "gain great traction in this biz".
I am not proud, I am smart enough not to disclose anything. That is a huge difference. Trying to provoke me in the hope that I will show I am right by disclosing parts will not work. It was already tried before.
The problem is I care about lots of things and at least for me this I don't care attitude of yours is 'directly' associated with your attempts to "gain great traction in this biz". As exhibited in the quote below. I'm not making this stuff up. You making money bashing TA isn't comedy. It's unethical. I can't imagine Baron tolerating it from a sponsor. I recommend you start paying to participate (in order to continue getting paid for posting) and that you not be permitted to bash traders and TA.
Who or what is IAN? Yeah, I bash TA because its a joke for the most part when used alone and it's used to destroy traders accounts on behalf of those who gain from your losses-- what don't you get? My goal is to get folks to think straight about the markets, not be lemmings. Most winners in the market think similar to me, as they are my mentors--- do you think i just make this stuff up>? surf
Unethical? It's unethical to sell an empty dream of TA being the cure all I don't consider 20-year-olds children by any stretch--- nothing wrong with teaching adults your skill set.te Sounds like you have a good thing going--- keep it going---- However, provided the potentially addicting nature of the game, among other reasons, teaching young children is not wise in my opinion-- ask your psych GF, i bet she agrees with me. surf
Unethical? I don't believe in TA and price action having an edge as it is propagated by those with alternative motives or self-aggrandization reasons. Heck, the most verbal proponent of price action on this site was outed as a stealth vendor who sells $5.00 ebooks under an alias to Noobs via private messages---- Why you equate TA with trading only shows your lack of knowledge-- so keep it up, you are doing my job for me surf
