One definition of a troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. Taken from here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=troll

Surf, I'm not debating the value you've added to the site. That's a separate matter. No doubt you have made a contribution to ET, positive or negative, others can be the judge of that!

But I'm making the point about derailing this specific thread (along with a couple of other posters). If you believe that teaching children is moronic, why are you posting in this thread after the first post? There are lots of other threads where your contribution would likely stimulate a good debate with several people with different views.

Thanks to the OP for starting the thread, sorry but I'm done with this thread unless it gets back on track. It's a waste of time for everyone concerned.

  3. I don't think teaching children how to trade is smart. Why does this derail the thread? My other posts are responding to others.

Im sorry if this upsets you, you seem like a genuine person--

  4. Watch this:
    marketsurfer postings: 10830 likes 581 that's 5.36%
    i am nobody postings: 1112 likes 439 that's 39.47%

That's about 8 times more likes. And I did not receive these likes in threads about jokes or naked women.

Only you think you brought tremendous value. What I see is detrimental value.

End of discussion for me. On ignore. Together with the biggest (dutch or ditch) idiot on ET.

Hilarious, on ignore for the sixth time. :D:DCan't you find the button, you freakin' racist, narcistic moron?:p:p

BTW, how do you like living among people you hate? Is it worth it to save a few coins? I guess not, since you're pissing even more vinegar over this place lately.

Anyway, this comes to mind again.
    • Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
    • Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
    • Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
    • Requires excessive admiration
    • Has a very strong sense of entitlement, e.g., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
    • Is exploitative of others, e.g., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
    • Lacks empathy, e.g., is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
    • Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
    • Regularly shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

  6. Like most of your critics, he isn't really upset, he's weak minded. He sees others flaming you and wants to be part of the 'cool kids' crowd.

OP decided to divert thread with ad hominem attacks and gloating over non-disclosure of trading method.

  8. After studying succesful traders, one trait stands above all others and that is the ability to stand against the crowd. The opposite of weak mindedness.

This site is proof that the market has the most attraction to the very people least suited for it.

    Sad but true.

  9. I would think the biggest concern is "impostor syndrome".

Without them having done all the work to solve the puzzle of trading successfully, it is possible that they do not feel successful when executing your system. As if they have not personally earned the result. Given that it will be a large demand on their time, and if you choose to teach them their trading income will likely dwarf anything they could earn in other pursuits, it might leave them in a position not too dissimilar from those who have inherited substantial wealth. Unless it is planned carefully they might not build something of their own of a comparable standard and therefore live their lives in the shadow of your success.

Certainly you appear to provide mature fatherly guidance which was lacking in any of the spoiled rich children I've ever encountered. You have seen enough examples of how unearned wealth can corrupt; and I wonder if many children from successful families descended into being worthless playboys because they subconsciously believed that the bar had been set too high and they could never aspire to truly earning that level of success. Not trying as a defense against being found not good enough.

I would hope that they show an aptitude, and in the ideal surpass even your accomplishments. Yet if they are not likely to fully excel in this field, I'd suggest they search for their true talents elsewhere.

A very useful post for those who buy into the notion that "HFT" is somehow stopping them being competitive in markets.* Many good strategies which are difficult or impossible to automate, and will usually take a larger profit per contract traded than the automated stuff which depends on speed and extremely low fees.

    * before HFT it was "the specialist" or "the market maker" to blame of course.

Contrary to marketsurfers claim the research I did was hate based, truth is it was love based. My posts about marketsurfers evil doings stand as proof, each backed up by facts. All I've done this far is present facts. I haven't presented any speculation. There's not been any hate motivating my research or displayed in my actions. Permanent banning from ET is warranted. What's been proven thus far will be insignificant if what I've speculated but not yet disclosed is correct.
