  1. Quote from byteme:

as they say, a wise man changes his mind, a fool never does.

Well, that about sums it up.

Yes, +1 on that. As we receive more information, then we should be able to modify our thinking, after all, we're supposed to thinking individuals and not animals with small brains and short memories.

  2. lol, you guys are too much. Spin, spin and more spin.

What exactly has this administration done in the past 18 months that would turn RCG from a potential libertarian into an unabashed apologist for all things BHO.

It's well understood that people can and often should change their opinions as the facts present themselves, but as many of us are beginning to notice, RCG has entered complete "flip flop" territory.

Hell, he's more of a flip flopper than Mittens.

  3. The economy is turning up.
    The Iraq war is over.
Soon we will be giving things back the Afghans.
    OBL is KIA.

But most of all the libertarians are a trojan horse for the stormfronters in our midst.

"Liberty" to too many libertarians means being able to put up "whites only" signs. Too many libertarians think that liberty includes being able to deny liberty, as Luke tried pathetically to argue just this morning.

Changing one's mind is certainly one's prerogative. But to go from thinking about the Tea Party to aggressively supporting Obama? That's one hell of a change.

  7. I was seriously asking, not baiting or anything. That was one of the first things that popped up. I didn't want to appear lazy.

Are there other reports that show growth in the Tea Party since 2008 or so? Post anything you've been looking at when you have time, thanks.

Its not even flipping from Tea Party to Obama that i find to be completely ridiculous, (though its up there) Its the fact that he went from supporting the Tea Party early on, while there actually were a few racists trying to tie themselves into the movement, and defending them against the accusations of racism, to trying to accuse every single conservative/libertarian of being a racist, long after the Tea party expelled all the early racists from their midst. If one was trying to claim conservatives were racists it would have been the time when all the lowlifes were showing up to the tea parties at first, who inevitably got kicked out, or told they were not welcome.

Not only that, he has flipped on so many issues that are core beliefs, that rarely change with most people, people might slowly shift from being a republican to a democrat, but you dont just one day up and decide to switch from supporting the far right on everything to supporting the far left on everything, unless you are completely delusional.

Plus he says he went from supporting Bush Senior, to becoming a delegate for the democrats, and campaigning against Bush Senior for clinton, to then voting for Bush Jr. in 2000, how the fuck do you reconcile that?

  9. The problem with libertarianism is that it is no different than socialism. Socialism cannot work because if every one gets the same thing, no matter how hard or how little they work, everyone will just stop working.

Libertarians believe that if you let people just do their thing, then everything will work itself out. That is very naive and contrary to history. In fact, the Constitution was written saying that all men are created equal, while slavery was in their midst.

If it was human nature for humans to just "work things out" there would be no laws or nations and this would not even be a conversation.
