  2. What we can learn, given their abject failure to solve the problem, is that the self appointed intellectuals(brainiacs) aren't all that smart. We can safely assume that their conclusions are suspect. On the other hand, truth is truth regardless of who speaks it.
Let's take an example. We have black thug who has just murdered someone in a random drive by. The brainiac will conclude that this behavior is rooted in the fact that the killers great, great, great grandpa was a slave, and therefore excusable. I, the poor dumb Captain, heathen of the unwashed masses, a mut with no pedigree, will conclude that this behavior is rooted in the fact that this thug has been told, from birth, that he isn't smart enough, does not have any opportunity regardless of how hard he works or studies, that all people that look like him are losers with no real value, and that all behavior will be excused is the reason he kills for the hell of it. Even though his behavior can be explained, it cannot be excused. Immediate execution for crimes committed is the recommended course of action, and the black community should be cheering in the streets as he gasps his last breath. Their community is now a little bit safer.
I'll leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

Not necessarily true at all. The reasons the problem persists could well be political. Copernicus comes to mind.

  5. I agree, and is it not true that our politicians fall into the self appointed intellectual category? Who is reponsible for the mess we're in? It ain't some guy with a f'n high school diploma. It's the smartest guy in the room crowd that has screwed the pooch.
Now before you go all, the Captain is anti-education on me, let me say I'm not anti-education. I'm anti self appointed intellectual saying their the smartest guys in the room simpley because they have a pedigree. I ain't impressed!
It's all just a good old boys club and I wouldn't trust these fucks to run a hot dog stand, let alone a country.

We are responsible for the mess we're in. You point to slavery, long over, but forget about Jim Crow, not long over.

You'd no doubt accept that a society can impoverish and probably reduce to hopelessness, drug addiction, and violence, a group, say working people, by its laws, police, and socialized norms on taxation. So why is it hard to accept that a society can do the same to another group based on a different attribute?

  7. Jim Crow ain't exactly hot of the press news either. You're talking stuff that happened better than 5 decades ago, and I'm talking about what's happening right now. You gonna' tell me that some gang banger is out their killing people because some black guy couldn't get served in a diner during the 50's? Please!

Editing for more: When does the excuse making end, and personal accountability begin? What I'm saying is that so long as it's politically and financially profitable, the race baiting will never end.
And we still have not addressed the point of my previous posts which is, who pose's the real danger to the black community? Is it the fabricated racism that the Tea Party is being smeared with, or is it the black community themselves? The evidence seems fairly obvious to me. Isn't any old white woman gonna' kill a young black man tonight. Isn't some guy carrying a sign saying Obama sucks that is destroying the black family structure.

Personal accountability begins when all persons have a similar spot on the starting line of the footrace that is Life, and a similar breadth and quality of choices along the way, logically, because by definition this has removed any other possible causes. Except for Act of God misfortunes of course, which we're not talking about here.

    Seriously?

You and I know this is unattainable in any and all races, cultures, backgrounds, creeds, countries etc. etc. Contrary to what liberals think, life is NOT fair. Besides who promised it was going to be?
