Guns are legal in the United States. It's called the 2nd Amendment. Perhaps you've heard of it? Drugs are equally accessible to Blacks and Whites. Yet violent crime is disproportionately committed by Blacks. The notion that personal accountability doesn't apply to Blacks (or anyone, for that matter) is horseshit. That you consider that scholarly is laughable. Every great Country (past and present) was built and sustained through personal accountability and hard work. The very reason many blacks are poor, drug addicted or incarcerated is because they subscribe to a mythology of victimization, Socialists (like you) promote. Many bought the lie, relieved themselves of accountability, and suffered the consequences. Bear in mind, tons of uneducated immigrants come to America, work their ass off, and become success stories, or retire millionaires. Maybe you can explain that? When people spend all their time blaming others for their own problems, failure results. When people actually get off their ass, work, sacrifice and make their own luck, success happens. Until the Black community acknowledges success is the responsibility of the individual - not Government, or some handout, or "Whitey", or the "rich" - then many blacks will continue to suffer the consequences of their own dysfunctional obsessions. It's not about race. It's about Culture. North American Black culture is largely dysfunctional. If the NAACP had any sense, they'd accept that. But they won't. Why? Because a vibrant, independent, wealthy black community doesn't need organizations that thrive off poverty and dependency. The NAACP would innovate themselves out of a job!! That's why the NAACP rejected Bill Cosbys clarion call for Blacks to get with the program. The NAACP and every other community organizer that gets Corporate or Government funding needs blacks broke, disenfranchised, and blaming whites to perpetuate their own livelihood.

I have a problem with what they are doing with them. Please be more specific as to who "they" are. 2) I have no problems with all drugs being legalized. The illegality brings both the profit motive and has bred criminal behavior as a way of life into parts of the community. Couple this acceptable criminality ( which you are supporting) along with gubbermint handouts (which you also probably support) and then assholes like you get all mystified as to what went wrong. 1) How did they get them? They made a decision to purchase them, how hard is that for you to grasp? 2) The drugs were actively procured (another decision on their part: starting to get the drift yet?) from people making a product in demand. A product that the gubbermint wants to make more lucrative for their own ends.
