I'm not advising anyone to do it .20 mes only equal's 2 es. I mean if your looking to scalp for min's then 20 mes on $5k is doable using a scalable technique and holding no more than 10 mins with all this volatility.Ask flip who flips all day if he really needs much money in his account. If you scale in and have tight stops you don't need a ton of money, I'm with IB at $27k per emini . If someone wants to hold mes i'd have around $2500 a contract in the account so you don't get scared out.

  4. I've worked very hard to have my futures commissions lowered at Ameritrade. They don't lower it by much and even with 1000+ contracts last month, my commissions are quite high, even for non micros.

I moved to IB. So much cheaper and the fills are much, much better. I think ToS is much better for creating complex orders, more reasonable with margin requirements (IB is outrageous right now), and their customer service is not amazing but is definitely workable, but the commissions are just too high in my opinion, especially on the micros.

  7. $0.47 at IB. $4.95 is obscene on a micro ... you're down almost 4 ticks on the s&p micro before your position even moves!

  8. Yes, I know. Not doable. Looks like TDA believes their clients are stupid.
