If I trade Eurex products(I'm A US resident), do I have to pay foriegn taxes? Also would profits and losses on the futures contracts be treated the same here in the US as the US futures? ie sec1256 contracts and form 6781 come filing time. Or do they have a seperate filing or handling? I did a search on IRS, but maybe didn't search well because I didn't find a real definitive answer.

  2. Never heard of anyone paying taxes....How are you going to anyway? Besides...they don't issue a 1099 from Germany!

There are no foreign taxes on Eurex contracts. You report them the same as US futures, on Form 6781, just like you said.
