I have recently started trading the emini contracts. Prior to that, I have been daytrading stocks. I am trying to find more information about the tax implications of day trading futures. The tax implications for trading stocks appear fairly clear. Including the handling of mark-to-market filing. There are several good websites about tax implications for trading stocks, such as: http://www.fairmark.com/traders/index.htm However, it is not clear to me if the same tax advantages are applied to futures traders. For example payment of self employment tax. Stuart
