Tax statement and maker/taker fees

    If you've got a brokerage account that passes through the exchange fees/rebates (for equities or options), let's say you end the year with a net rebate... Does that show up on the brokerage's 1099?

    It should be factored into your cost basis and proceeds of each purchase and sale.
