You forgot the hidden taxes that you pay. Gasoline tax which varys by state, but nonetheless, you are paying 15% more for gas with that tax at todays prices. (average tax for fed/state together is 45 cents per gallon) Dont forget the inflation tax. On average you are losing 3-4% of the value of your money every year and its about to get worse. If you drink or smoke, there some more hidden tax. You got tarriffs on goods that are imported. And if you look at your utility bills you will see some hidden taxes in there that you pay.

In my state, 97% of all jobs are created through small businesses. Right now we have unemployment higher than the national average. Could any liberal here please explain to me, why on earth any small businessman would want to consider hiring more employees now, when all he can project for the future are higher federal taxes, higher SS taxes, socialized healthcare, more and more gov't regulations. The businessmen I talk to say they're tightening, not hiring and some are thinking of just calling it quits, taking their money, laying people off and walking off into retirement.

Russia tried that in 90's. by doing this they create a huge black market where cash is king and nobody paying the taxes at all. people 's mentality changed completely. now,when they have 13% flat tax many of them still refusing to pay anythings. US making a huge mistake by choosing same patch. many small businesses already offer better deals, when you pay in cash. guess why?

The "workers of the world that united" in California [public sector retirees, union and non] have voted themselves so much largesse that California cannot pay for their retirements, let alone pay for all the services the state is providing.. a tape was leaked from a meeting where the head accounting guy for the state was explaining that... and he was distraught too... We've gone from budget crisis to budget crisis. They passed a budget that took months to hammer out and a week later they announced that they had Billions in shortfall for the current fiscal year because they underestimated their current income.... now they are trying to figure out how to cover a $21 Billion shortfall for the next couple of years... The Public Sector can be that stupid.. that is a major lesson in all this, they indeed can be incredibly stupid. We have the Democrats in California that want to expand government still, they tell us that government is the answer, in fact the state has been hiring more people all the time they were working to fix the budget... so the Public Sector is out of control and it is cannibalizing the Nation if California is any indicator of what the entire country is doing... get used to it folks, they aren't even thinking of stopping it... they want to destroy the economy and march in as the heroic leaders of the revolution and assume full power over our lives... they will front a leader that will talk the voters into giving up their constitutional rights in exchange for a stipend...
