Tax implication of deep ITM CC on futures?

    I understand there are issues with writing deep ITMs on stocks, although, since I don't do stocks often, I am not sure what they are. But are they the same for futures, like say a deep ITM covering an ES or NQ contract, which are marked-to-market? (And, yes, put writers, I am aware that this is a synthetic short put. Just doing the maths on comparable trades.)
