He is more of a thinker and less of an "ideologue" than any number of prominent Republicans. Ideology requires little in the way of independent thought. That's why the Republican base all have the same prefabricated talking points.

It sent a message to China, Russia and countless other countries that were considering a move towards communism, that the US would challenge their advance. Totalitarian regimes are the scourge of the earth and need to be defeated. The Vietnam War helped defeat the threat of communism that we faced in the 50's-80's. Now unfortunately the threat is right here in our own country, as the Democratic party has embraced big government as the answer to everything. This is not what the founding fathers had in mind, and what they feared the most. Limiting government control is what has made our country so prosperous and free.

Unless you make 250k a year, i would deeply like to know how you're lifestyle has changed right now with Obama taking office. Do not bring up taxes or legislation that MIGHT happen. No IFs just plain vanilla, crystal clear, how has you're standard of living changed since Obama took office?
