Does anyone know a software product that could help me automate procedures within windows. For instance, I might want to select application A, copy a window, open word then paste the values into word, and save it. Then repeat the process on a fixed interval basis? Thanks for your help! Mike
I can recommend these 2 apps for Windows automation. Both are powerful, popular and free. 1) AutoIt (the original one and still going strong after 7 years). I've used it for quite some time. 2) AutoHotkey (an open-source newcomer, based on AutoIt's source code) See reviews of both here: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0...it&tg=dl-20&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=+Go! It'd probably be hard to go wrong with either one.
I use this. It will save your macros as .exe files and run at specified time with Windows Task Scheduler, if you like. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Keylogger-Monitoring/nMacro-Recorder.shtml
I've been playing around with Macro Express for about a month now and have found it pretty useful and user friendly. One question I do have that I have yet to figure out is if it's possible for Macro Express to read the values off of your level 2. Has anyone found a way of doing this? Appreciate the help.
I've used www.winbatch.com for quite sometime, and can recommend it. But I'll admit macroexpress looks quite good too.
