No one will be missing the "Department of Education", as it was a FAILURE (and you know this). Capitalism works, and talent will be attracted to opportunity. Maybe set up an education program within your company? You got the wealth to make it happen. PS. It will be good for your soul!
We do some training (like training a machinist on our equipment) but it’s impractical at scale for every company to do their own workforce training from scratch. why do you consider the dept of education a failure? (Serious question)

Right, the way this is all headed. The rest of the world will trade with .... the rest of the world. And I guess we will trade with our fat, bloated, entitled selves - lol red states with red states, blue with blue. Lots of fun and games. Then 1929 rolls around again.
Not unlikely at all. Big difference this time around, back then no Don Donaldo running the show hell bent on trashing what used to be the greatest democracy in the world. Friggin tragic is what this whole sorry mess is. I actually voted for the fella the first time round. Never liked him as a person, but thought hey might be good for the economy. But after he became the first ex POTUS ever to openly fight against the results of an election he lost fair and square, trashing a successful transition of power that had worked for centuries, until HE lost lol that is, it was clear he'd never get my vote again.
What and bypass and not be inclined to trade with USA which is one of the biggest markets in the world? I doubt that. The greedy guts will do whatever they can to trade with USA where they can make a buck. Even if it means moving over here. There is no way they will ignore a market as big as USA. Even the communist are capitalist only in theory but not in action.
Same goes for all those eff the rest of the world, we can trade amongst ourselves nonsense. Almost all major U.S. Corps make more of the profits out of country than in. We need them as much as they need us.
But tariffs will force these corporations to move back to the United States as it will be cheaper to pay higher wages to Americans than lose business because of the tariffs. Profits from sales. Nothing to do with higher or lower wages. McD's and folks that sell overseas, because they outgrew the U.S. market alone. Growth. The "antidote" to growth is tariffs. Get it???????????? tRump sure doesn't.
