The same thing that has happened to every President that had a negative approval rating on election day,he will be leaving office. The Democrat President will than be reversing Trumps tariffs and all his executive orders.
You're a little far out here from the 2028 election. And furthermore have no evidence that an other party's president would remove any tariffs. You are not considering the possibility that the tariffs and Trump trade policy will work and work in a big way.
With the historical odds of Republicans keeping the White House in 2028 being zero it being far out doesn't matter. Being that nearly every Democrat is against these tariffs its safe to say they will remove them upon taking office.
At this point Americans should be extremely embarrassed by the state of their nation and what Trump is doing to global trade. We see the knuckleheads on here spouting the same shit and you just have to remember ignorant people are going to act in this way. The hubris is coming around very soon when the impact of this Trade War hits home. Big time inflation, massive job losses, massive supply chain issues. Or Trump is forced to renege on all his projects in shame. He's put himself in a corner. The Congress/Senate will have to essentially overthrow him and they will unless he backs down.
When you feel just too annoyed with the Maga cocksuckers watch this film, the ending is quite satisfying. And if that's too long, this is funny. https://youtube.com/shorts/zDeSyCGIzXc?si=-Pubs_TbZCZYo3_Y
From 'we hold all the cards' to literally begging for a deal. If the Chinese guy tells him to kneel...he will kneel. A growing trade war? Trump says China ‘wants to make a deal’ But top US trade official suggests Beijing has not sought talks with Washington as deadline for additional tariffs looms. Washington, DC – With the clock ticking for additional United States tariffs to be placed on goods from China, President Donald Trump has said he is waiting for a call from Beijing to defuse a growing trade war. “China also wants to make a deal, badly, but they don’t know how to get it started,” the US president wrote in a social media post. “We are waiting for their call. It will happen!” However, hours later, a senior Trump aide cast doubt over Beijing’s willingness to negotiate a solution to tit-for-tat tariffs, suggesting that a breakthrough is unlikely in the coming days. “They [China] elected to announce retaliation,” US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said at a Senate committee hearing on Tuesday. “Other countries did not. Other countries signalled that they’d like to find a path forward on reciprocity. China has not said that, and we will see where that goes.” Trump has threatened to impose additional 50-percent tariffs on Chinese goods if China does not revoke the retaliatory levies it imposed on US products If implemented, the new US levies would be as high as 104 percent on some Chinese goods. Beijing, however, has appeared to refuse to budge, rejecting what it called “economic bullying” by Washington. “We Chinese are not troublemakers, but we will not flinch when trouble comes our way,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday. “Intimidation, threats and blackmail are not the right way to engage with China. China will take necessary measures to firmly safeguard its legitimate and lawful rights and interests.” Lin added that, if the US is determined to engage in a trade war, “China’s response will continue to the end”.
Now, I feel bad for the Chinese workers, from one human being to another. They just want to keep their jobs but, they see the huge chance of even losing that. They do not want this trade war. The same for Chinese with small businesses. Their margins low on their cheap products. Now, they keep saying the US consumers will pay the higher prices. Not exactly. As is standard practice, the US importers and Chinese business owners routinely split the tariffs cost. However, the huge tariffs this time out will kill those small businesses owned by the Chinese. You go to You Tube, you can see boxes upon boxes of Chinese goods they have to sell. If not, they go under. China is going to lose this trade war and lose pretty badly. No mater what the so called leftist hacks calling themselves experts say. Maybe, they should live in China for 3 months and tell us how the Chinese are doing compared to the US?
