Agree btw on the hubris. Just a little joyous at the time. Had a pretty good day.

Amalgam: Groceries isn't me bear thesis. I trade on what I see and what I know. I was just mocking them. Like the bathroom thing... (which btw.... is not "the law", its corporate policy dictated from the boardroom in MSP.)

And Trade Cat..... you do whatever you think you need to do, .....you'll see.

  2. If you want variety and something new ....Whole Foods is interesting. They have stuff there I have never seen. But much more than other stores. They used to be popular because they were the first ones to have organic food, but every store has those now.

Even Target has their own brand of organic fruits and vegetables.

I don't think anything is going to change at the Dallas Cowboys unless Jerry leaves.
But I don't think he is going to turn the reins over to his son Steve until he wins another Superbowl.

They recruited a new QB in the draft this year but he is number 4.
Romo is good, but he isn't healthy. If it's not his back, it's his ribs, shoulder or clavicle.
The darn opposition keeps aiming for him.

Everyone wanted Robert Griffin, well a lot of them. He's a nice guy and some girls think he is cute but that's all he has going for him.

Dallas is the belt buckle of the Bible Belt and a lot of people wanted Tim Tebow, but I think he will do fine as an analyst for ESPN. He lives in Ponte Vedra, FL near Mark Brunnell. Maybe they can walk the beach together and talk about what 'could have been' if they had made fewer interceptions and more completions.

Then there were a lot of people talking about 'Johnny Football' - Johnny Manziel.
He graduated from Texas A and M....well, he attended, did not graduate there.
And he said he wanted to play for Dallas, but I think he is done. He hit his GF in Dallas last winter and she settled out of court. He doesn't show up for practices, and there are pics of him getting drunk in most bars in the Western Hemisphere.

He completed a stint in a private rehab center last month or so and he says all that is behind him. But he hasn't played in 2 years and he wasn't that good when he did play. There are plenty of people to replace him. Especially for the money a QB makes. I hope he doesn't play for us. If we want an unpredictable QB, we'll keep Romo. At least he's a nice guy and he has a good looking wife.

I think Tim Tebow is one of the best quarterbacks around, he may not pocess the arm of like Brady, but given in his rookie year? Took over Denver and they went to the playoffs and if it wasn't for Manning, he might still be there. He has grit and that winning spirit, and it doesn't hurt he is man who is man of his word and he lives his life that way as well.

Romo seemed to do downhill when in between playoff weeks, him and Jessica Simpson went on vacation. I think he has developed into good player, but really doubt if he makes playoffs this year, defenses have gotten just too clever how to hurt quarterbacks with cheap shots. I remember sayings Buddy Ryan use to tell his defense, whoever intercepted the ball, the other ten hit the quarterback. There is so many extra hits by not looking to see if they have throw to ball to be hit half second after they thrown ball, all those little hits by concrete men add up.

I bought those calls. Just a matter of time. It's like good ribs. You can't rush it.

  6. Tebow has a lot of integrity, but if I recall he did well at the beginning and then declined. Didn't he go to training camp last year and get cut early? I don't recall a hundred percent. He's definitely a nice guy, but that's not enough if you are getting paid 5M a year. The buy has biceps as big around as my thighs. Holy cow.

Yeah, when Romo had the thing going with Jessica Simpson, she sat in the bleachers for 2 or 3 home games and Dallas lost those. Fans in the local area were telling her to stay away, she was bad luck.....lol. I wish it was that easy.

They had Jerry Jones on tv tonight. They were talking about the upcoming year and asked him if he was going to make any changes and he said the one thing that would not change is his confidence in Romo and his starting position.

I hope he is right. Last year we were 4-12. Much of it was due to Romo's injury and the lack of a reliable backups.

I know players have always tried to hurt the other team. Lots of times it is for remarks they make during the week, but not always. It happens, but the one guy I don't like is Ndamukong Suh. He played for Detroit and now he is at Miami. He plays dirty pool. He is the one that has deliberately stepped on people, kicked a guy in the stomach, tripped them etc... I don't like that stuff. But he gets results, so I guess he is tolerated.

I hope things are better this year. I hope we make the playoffs.....But I've said that for the last ten years.......:)

Yea, I been a Cubbie fan all my life, our favorite saying is "Always next year", and I doubt they have enough pieces to go through the playoffs with the final win. Then known well for unable to win meaningful games. Can't believe they spent all the bucks for Heyward who can't hit and Lester who everyone steals second base on him, and he is a lefty. What has happened to starting pitchers, they take them out in 5th and 6th innings, use to be them completing games.

Slim pickings for the end of the earnings cycle. I entered into a put ratio spread near the close to give me something to do in the morning.

    Bot Aug 77 puts @$2.27 x 2
    Sold Aug 75 puts @ $1.33 x 4

    lol...I love it ;)

Its going to move on what their guidance is. I suspect, as I mentioned above, they are(were) sandbagging. They might even up the guidance. The bear play seems almost too easy on this. But good luck.

No matter what they say tomorrow... its going to be a lot less a year from now. You can bank on that.
