To be honest it was nearly 20+ years ago when I spent enough time there back in my wannabe actor/responsible dad days and that was LA / Beverly Hills etc. when the US was less polarised. Hamptons and nicer parts of Louisiana is mostly all I've seen since those days.

Though TkMax does come to mind when I think Target? Maybe I've seen old Target stock in TK which is international and a good place to find very large sizes. I'm sure if they have a sale on there won't be a red not crossing the picket line.

Anyway, seems a fairly safe buy.

Give a percentage of Target stores in politically red states vs blue.

"According to a 2020 study by Morning Consult, Target has a higher percentage of stores in politically blue states than in politically red states. The study found that 60% of Target stores are located in blue states, while only 40% are located in red states.

The study also found that Target's favorability ratings are higher in blue states than in red states. In blue states, Target has a net favorability rating of 61%, while in red states, it has a net favorability rating of 54%.

The study's findings suggest that Target is more popular among Democrats than among Republicans. This is likely due to Target's focus on trendy and stylish merchandise, as well as its wide selection of home goods and other products. Target's marketing campaigns also often focus on its commitment to social responsibility, which may appeal to Democrats more than Republicans."

So it brings more red state dems to Target as they don't have to mix with the theocratic fascists.

The Blue vote is so concentrated that its unreliable to divide the vote by States
Here is a map showing Blue and Red vote by precinct.
Overlay the Target store location map and most will be in Red areas.

You do know that even in red areas the GOP wins by gerrymandering not actual bodies.. And when it is by actual bodies they have fuck all interest in Target. Most of the money is in Blue areas so most of the profitable business is.

Cows don't buy gooseneck electric kettles and usb powered copper mugs.

Your limited mind sees lots of red and you got a little boost of endorphins so you stopped thinking just then.

Now shut your not-competent-trader no-fucking-money-mouth and buy Target when it comes back up. It's always the guys who name themselves aspirationally are shit.

Actually don't, you don't deserve success, it will just confuse you.

Walmart has played it pretty smart so far and stayed out of the political bs.

I'm sure they'll get sucked in somehow though. Someone will find something wrong somewhere to be offended over and make a big deal out of it.

Does their online store sell MAGA hats?
I bet that would tank the stock. I could just Velshi now:
"Thanks Joy... We're outside a Walmart where protestors are gathering... "

Target has had two meh quarters in a row blaming supply chain issues in part however there is news of them investing in this:
    • Target announced on February 22, 2023 that it would invest $100 million to expand its supply chain sortation network to more than 15 facilities by the end of 2026.
    • The new facilities will be located in major U.S. markets, including Chicago, Denver, and Atlanta.
    • The expansion will allow Target to offer next-day delivery to more customers and improve its overall supply chain efficiency.
    • Target is also investing in other areas of its supply chain, including technology and transportation.
If t seems too good to be true that George Santos of the Senate JD Vance and such wiped so much value it's because it is.

Location is most likely due to economic viability and blue areas overwhelmingly account for most of the economic activity in America.

*Again, this is not a swipe at republicans. It just is what it is.
