Let me put it in a more simple manner. In recent months several stores in Durham have been looted by shoplifting gangs.

It would be simple for these gangs to simply drive up Highway 501 to rural Roxboro and loot the Walmart store. However these gangs know the retribution would be immediate and swift up in Roxboro. Walmart in rural areas is viewed not only as a store but a social center -- one of the foundations of the town. The population of Roxboro -- both white & black -- would not take kindly to their store being looted by shoplifters and most would take action immediately to stop the suspects. People can argue over the law and wisdom of stand-byers getting involved. But let me say that no grand jury in Roxboro would ever indict anyone who stopped (even with gunfire) a shoplifter who was part of an organized booster gang, and the law & order DA up there would never consider bringing charges against anyone except the shoplifter(s).

This is why booster gangs don't loot stores in rural & suburban areas -- while the booster gangs are happy to loot stores in a city like Durham where the progressive DA will not prosecute them and has a no-cash bail (catch & release) system.

Maybe it's time for retail stores to put "RFID tracking devices/bar codes" in their merchandise considering retail organized crime is costing retailers BILLIONS (closing in on $100 billion dollars each year...increasing each year).

The technology is already here and used by the military & our country's major airports...used against EVERY citizen of America in 2025 if they have a driver's license that is required to be a real ID under Homeland Security.

Real IDs don't have chips in them.

    Chips in real ID ?

Real ID use barcodes on the back of my real ID drivers license...two sets of different barcodes. I will assume all the information from the front of my driver's license is coded into one of those barcodes. What is coded in the other barcodes...I don't know (e.g. possible military/security data related to being a veteran).

Retail merchandise is a different story (see GWB explanation about stolen Apple merchandise).

    Now imagine AI/RFID working together...

A thief leaving a store with stolen merchandise that has tracking devices (your chip reference) and the thief also has a drivers license in his/her own wallet or in a in a vehicle with someone that has a drivers license while the stolen merchandise is in the same vehicle...

Not only are they being tracked from tracking devices in the merchandise, they are also being identified simultaneously or in real-time via whatever information is in the barcodes on the drivers license AND any other ID in that wallet/purse (e.g. insurance card, medical card, student ID, passport, credit/debit cards...anything with a barcode).

The above will occur because of AI and RFID working together.

Imagine technology like that one day when working together. Will it stop/slow retail organized crime or give more reasons for people to be concerned about their privacy when that technology is use together BEYOND law enforcement...legally or illegally ???

iPhone alarms turn looters’ jubilation into outrage in a matter of seconds
    https://metro.co.uk/2023/09/28/iphone-disabled-apple-thieves-outrage-philadelphia-19574722/

Cackling like hyenas, these iPhone looters think they’ve struck gold after clearing an Apple store of its goods.

But their joy quickly turns to horror after the store disabled devices and set off alarms on them.

This rendered them not only useless, but also incredibly irritating as the looters in Philadelphia couldn’t stop the blaring noise.

They even resorted to pouring orange juice over an iPad to try and stop the incessant noise. One of them declared ‘oh my god, this is crazy’.

Several other Apple devices are seen on the ground and one person appears holding iPhones in dismay.

‘Oh my god, these iPhones, oh my god,’ the same person is heard saying.

The video is captioned, ‘stolen ipads goin off’.

Earlier video showed dozens of looters inside an Apple store with ‘iPhone 15 Pro’ marked on the glass façade, grabbing devices as sirens sounded and cops cars could be seen arriving.

‘Free iPhones!’ someone could be heard saying repeatedly.

"...Interim police commissioner John Stanford said: ‘The bottom line is sending a message that Philadelphia is not going to be the place where you can do this type of behavior.’"

Clearly they are getting the message...NOT!

Clearly you are sending the message that you will not hold accountable your police officers who murder a black man sitting in his car, like that punk cop with the itchy trigger finger.
