Tape Reading Large Orders CL

CL options. fairly delta neutral. holding period is weeks

 

Technical price action precision scalping for .20 or better per trade using 5m candle chart with 1m cross-reference, 20EMA's on each chart, no other studies/indicators. Setups include with-trend off 5m pullbacks, trend continuation (strong trend-in-progress, 1m pullbacks), counter-trend (1-2-3 trend reversal), range trading, and breakouts (narrow range consolidation/triangles).

Anyone who can swing trade CL intraday or multiday, holding through retraces, has balls of steel

 

What dollar amount of CL move are you targeting?

 

Great! I never hold overnight, only intraday short term trend following for me. I do well in the CL now that I trade a very simple method and following trends made a boost in my monthly p&l. I try to find 3 to 4 good trades a day in CL with 2.5 to 1 or 3 to 1 r:r per trade.

I recognize this software. It looks like you are taking trades in the chop zone?
Do they allow that or is that just you taking those trades?

 

in which case you are definitely in the wrong symbol for sideways strats

 

I seldom even move my initial stops until price has gone at least +40 cents in favor, and usually I'm adding more at +20 cents to +40 cents in the big measured runs.

CL makes 100 and 200 cent runs more sessions than not. If you look for those and expect them to appear, they will be because they do. That's simply what CL does... regardless of who dares to hold or not

 

CL is the easiest contract to trade, I know of...
