tape reading - double print

  1. I am a new trader, and i read some messages about tape reading, in particular "tape reading (chart room cont.)", in which Maverick and Steve talked about double print.

Today, I traded DHI, that reported earnings yesterday. I brought 200 shares at 34.25, and I saw double prints (I guess it was) at 34.42. In between these two prints, there are some prints lower than 34.42 with smaller size.

When I see these type of prints, how do I know it is two big buyers, or two sellers? How can you tell if it is a buy or a sell?

When you try to read the tape, do you just use time and scale with quote, or will you use t&s with open book?

Thanks in advance for helping me.
